Blackjacks Roadhouse & Games Room

This used to be my favourite restaurant back when I worked in nisku years ago. Recently I started a new job and have been able to hit up black jacks for dinner again. I've been here about 10 times over the past month and a half and half of the time its great, the other half, not so much.

My issue is with the consistency of the food. I've always loved the skillets at blackjacks. Sometimes the skillets are awesome and filling, other times the eggs are overcooked and I get half the amount of food as usual. Also the servers don't seem to know what food gets what. For all the years I've been going there I've gotten sour cream and salsa with my skillets and when I first started going back I did as well, then I went in another day and got a different server and she said they aren't included and tried to charge me extra. I went back the next week and the a different server brought them out without me even asking. I asked her about it and she said they were included with skillets and not omelets and not sure why the other server didn't give them to me. Sure enough the time after I got the other server again and didn't get my sour cream and salsa.

Overall my experience has been positive but until the servers are retrained on what goes with what I don't think I'll be going back as much. I feel so awkward asking for what should be included with my meal and arguing with the additional charges. If this issue is addressed I'd happily change my review in a heart beat.

Just had the Ginger beef, someone's previous positive feedback made me decide on this dish, I would recommend serving with fresh beef and real Ginger and lesser sweet sauce.
I would not repeat if current "beef stays the same" great service though ☺

Always Fabulous service, no matter the time of day. Sunday brunch or Sunday evening buffet. Large portions for the hungry driver. Chinese food is always a great choice. 😊

Blackjacks Roadhouse is the place to be. They have great food and amazing staff. My two favorite items to order are the Eggs Benedict or the Ginger Beef.
It is a great place to have breakfast any time of the day!!

Amazing place to relax and have a good time. Food is awesome. Staff is really great. The owner is very pro trucker and is also big with the motorcycle scene. They host the Ride for Dad, the ride for Sight and some events

After 11pm, good cheap food and great service

Great place to eat with the family or with your friends. Best price for a big meal and friendly staff.

I googled 24 hour restaurants in Edmonton and close to Spruce Grove, not of my interest so Blackjack's is my choice, full menus regardless of time of day/night. A keeper for me. Friendly waitress and the aroma of food....yummy!!!
