🌿 Pets and essential oils...the dilemma! 🌿 Are essential oils safe to use around my pets? Yes...BUT! They must be pure, high quality oils like doTerra and not all are safe to use topically. 🌿... But I've heard about-insert sad pet dying story here-most of the incidents of pet getting sick or dying from essential oils either involved synthetic substances in tainted essential oils claiming to be pure or animals ingesting large doses of essential oils. 🌿 Tips to keep your pet safe: 🌿 When diffusing pay attention to your animal, and allow them to freely leave the space. Especially when using tree oils or citrus oils with cats (as they don't have the liver enzyme to break down these oils). If you notice your dog or cat acting weird...stop. This goes for synthetic air fresheners and other scented products too, in fact many of these are especially harmful to your fur-babies! 🌿 If your using oils topically, as always choose high quality oils and dilute, dilute, dilute. Also consult good references in regards to the safest oil for your pet and the concern. Dilute oils at 1-2% ratio for dogs, or greater for old, ill, puppies pregnant 🐶. Be especially careful with safe choices for topical use with cats. 🌿 Internal use of oils for pets requires the highest quality oils, and of course only the safest oils. One drop of ginger on a dog biscuit for motion sickness before a long car ride for example, or frankincense on the gums for gum disease. Dog breath? #theresanoilforthat.
