Bless Nature Centre

Today is the last day of the Summer Nature Centre program! We have cookies, donuts, and snacks galore! Come down to the cabin before it goes into hibernation for the winter!

The last week at the Nature Centre will be Earth Week! Come down to learn ways we can reduce our ecological footprints! We will also be learning about plastic pollution, making egg carton ocean animals, and more! Thursday August 23 will be the last day the Nature Centre will be open for this summer. Come down before Friday to pick up your Young Naturalist certificates if you've completed 5 or more weeks!

Holy COW! Summer at the Nature Centre has gone by as fast as a CHEETAH! Only 2 more weeks left! Come by this week and learn about both of these animals. We'll be learning about Crazy Carnivores and Unbelievable Ungulates!

I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend! The Nature Centre will be open today from 10-4:30. We will be Wild about Wetlands this week at the cabin! Come down and learn about the importance of preserving wetlands. We have lots of outdoor activities planned for this week including a scavenger hunt, bean bag toss, and frog hop race!

It's going to be a BAT-tastic week at the Nature Centre! Come learn about the bats of Alberta, test your echolocation skills, and make a cute little brown bat puppet!

Thanks Enchanted Forest Daycare for coming to the cabin for some feathery fun! We made bird masks, identified birds on a bird scavenger hunt, and more! We'll be learning All About Aves this week at the Nature Centre! 🦉🦅🦆

Had some artists at the cabin today! It will be Fantastic Flora all week at the Nature Centre so come down for more floral fun!

This week at the Summer Nature Centre we are learning about the Fantastic Flora that is all around us! Come make a your very own tiny greenhouse, go on a scavenger hunt, or try to identify some local flora! See you at the cabin! 🙂🌿

This week at the Nature Centre we'll be learning "What's the buzz about bees?" Come down to the cabin and learn all about honey bees! There will be specimens, real honey comb, and bee keeping tools to look at. I have some fun bee-themed crafts and games planned so make a trip down for some free family fun!

The BLESS Nature Centre will be open July 3rd! Come down for our Welcome Week and sign up for the Young Naturalists program! We have free family fun, activities, and crafts galore planned for this summer! We will kick off the summer with our Wildlife Safety week (July 3-6). We will learn how safely coexist and appreciate the wildlife around us!

Went for the first time today with my 5 and 3 year old. They had so much fun learning about our feathered friends, colouring pics for a photo contest, making paper binoculars and going on a nature bingo walk. What a lovely local gem! Thanks for the fun (and it's free too...)!
