Worst customer service and rude staff. They think that they work for the Canadian embassy or something just a bunch of losers on minimum wage.

Horrible service. The woman helping was extremely rude. Kept cutting me off. And the website sucks there is not enough information or it's all over the place. The agents on the phone do not give correct information.

My experience today was good, i was the only applicant at 9:30 in the morning. It took around 20 mins to submit an application for passport renewal, even when I had to go to the photo-shop opposite BLS to get extra photos. I saw another applicant arrive when I was leaving and the staff told me there are 1-2 days in a month when they see more than 10-12 applicants at once leading to wait times. I took a day off after reading the reviews, wasted a leave from my quota.

There are a lot of wrongs, like incorrect information on the website, wrong location on google maps, 5 photos requirement of 4 and 4 copies of personal particulars instead of 3 etc., but the staff is willing to help and is informative. They do push for the $30 courier charges, which I guess shouldn't be a big deal to get things easily done. The key is that I expected them to behave like an Indian office and came back happy. Set your expectations correctly and don't compare them with Sevice Canada.

So, no long queues, no 3-4 hours of wait or rude staff from what I saw. May be I'm just lucky to have arrived at a good time, but I can't complain about the staff or the behavior as other reviews. I had a decent experience overall!

UPDATE: Got my renewed passport in 15 days!

Basically a courier service! Would ask you to pay for an amount without explaining that courier charges are inbuilt and if you try to convince that you are able and willing to pickup on your own then they would get highly aggrevated. They try to convince people that courier is faster and will initiate from Vancouver but thats a lie. They receive the package from Vancouver and then they courier the documents from their office to customer's house , even if it is less than a mile way. You can actually verify that by tracking number. Dealing with them, you literally get the feeling of Indian government office from 90s with same level of customer service , nostalgic!

I went to Calgary bls office to file an application for Indian pcc .things were totally different in the way I heard .Not sure where some of those complaining here were visiting but the BLS office was quiet, organized, polite and efficient and the staff did not hesitate to assist with the filing of forms to ensure accuracy and efficient completion. They did not deliberately try to make matters complicated as some of the comments here are suggesting. In fact, despite the volume of traffic, they kept their composure and the service was personable and professional. Impressive. Thank you all the staff members they were very friendly and polite .especialy miss mumtaz was really really helpful and co operative .

Old school as compare to other canadian services..you need to come early in the morning to make sure your work done in whole full day. It easily takes 4 to 6 hours ..I think they need more staff for better and fast services.

managed in the way of 1980s. Full day work to submit an application and lots of mayhem and running around. You would always be missing something even if you have everything that checklist says. Reason - Everyone sitting in the chair is the boss making his own rules and requirements as per 1980s bureaucracy. You are bound to use them so be ready to dance to their tunes and s**** it up.

TERRIBLE, FRUSTRATING

This is a terrible organization and a scam. Forcing us to use BLS to access travel visa for India almost made me cancel my trip. (Only because it was too late did I not try).
The website is poor and misleading.
Initially it says you can upload a photo, then you find out it is not so and you require a store photo- they try to get you to use their service- at 50% more than the standard passport photo service.
We submitted the application as detailed then get notice it is incomplete. It certainly was not clear in the initial application that more than the passport was required as documentation. Two of us reviewed the applications and online directions.
As directed I sent "missing" document to BLS -to the link in the email. A follow up phone call by myself lets me find out it is an altogether different email to send the so called missing documents to.

WHY WOULDNT THEIR EMAIL REGARDING INCOMPLETE DOCUMENTS GIVE US THE CORRECT EMAIL TO SEND MISSING DOCUMENTS TO??????

It has now taken 2 weeks, my passports are still in their hands, my flight is supposed to leave in 3 weeks. So frustrating. The VISA will only be good for 30 days - so I was not able to start this absurd process earlier or my visa would have expired before my trip.

On top of that there is a BLS processing fee on top of the VISA fee PLUS a mandatory courier fee PER VISA (despite being at the same address).

TERRIBLE SCAM. SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. GLOBABL SERVICES CANADA SHOULD KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON. DESERVE NEGATIVE STARS- CANT POST WITHOUT GIVING A STAR
