This place is a must for any special occasion or get together! We had a 65th surprise party for my husband and Haley and her whole team really went out of there way to make sure everything was perfect! Had heard different reviews and this was our first time at the restaurant and we were absolutely floored ! We had a mixed age group and it appealed to everyone!

The service was stellar, food/appetizers were excellent and all the staff were genuinely happy to serve us and be part of the party! Bookers is like a hidden gem in Calgary!

This is my families go to for a “big” family meal. We ALWAYS come on a Sunday for the endless crab and the cheesecake. The food is always excellent and the crab keeps coming nice and hot until you can’t eat any more. The staff are always friendly and you’d never know from the outside what a gem the inside is!

By far our favourite place to eat, that we drive from Red Deer now just for Sunday dinner.

Our server Cass was great! She was knowledgeable about the items on the menu and how to man handle the crab. Extremely cheerful and brought some laughs to our table. Food and service were an A++. Will definitely be back soon!

Our family had New Years dinner here and it was great and our server made it even better! Cindy was so fun and on the ball, we had refills on drinks and food without even asking even though she was very busy and we were upstairs so she had to do the stairs every time! Thanks Cindy and bookers for a great end to 2017!

My husband and I decided to do our gender reveal at Booker's. We told them to bring us out a certain appetizer for a girl and a different one for a boy. The staff was great and brought it out covered and made it feel really special for us! The food is great ( especially their chicken wings), atmosphere is amazing and again the staff there is outstanding! Would recommend this place to anyone

The crab was delicious and the ribs were out of this world. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. Our server was really quick with our orders and really nice. Even got a free slice of cheesecake for my birthday.

The Manager, Falyn, was incredibly accommodating in putting our large group at one long table in the restaurant on a Saturday evening. She went the extra mile and took photos for us and a video of the surprise. Falyn continued to check on us throughout the evening to ensure that our experience was great. Our server, Hayley, was wonderful! She was fast, efficient, energetic and helped me surprise the birthday boy with cake, candles and singing! The food was delicious (I tried the ribs, brisket, crab and Mac n’ cheese) and the atmosphere was friendly, enthusiastic and warm. Overall, a fantastic experience at Bookers - I would highly recommend the venue!

Everything was great. Our waitress Lindsay was exceptional as was the food. She gave my wife a cheesecake to go for her birthday. Other than having to walk a block to park, it was an excellent experience.

Dog friendly patio...awesome food...great company. What more could you ask for?

I want to write a good review as the food is amazing and the staff is very helpful. Sadly we had a reservation, it took a long time to order, which was fine since it was busy, but we were there for 2 hours before we had any food. This is a tad extreme even for being busy. I am not sure if the order was forgotten to be put in or what happened but the place was 3/4 empty of people that had eaten and left by the time we saw food.

Food was decent, service could have been better. We made a reservation; were seated and all but forgotten. Took a long time to get a servers attention. Once we finally got our order in things seemed to get better. When we were done, the restaurant was almost empty and we struggled to get our bill and then when we wanted to pay our server disappeared...another staff member noticed and helped us out. We wish we’d had him the whole time we were there...the experience would have been much different. It was Super Bowl which may have attributed to issues but in talking to the gentlemen he mentioned they were actually over staffed. Not sure what happened!

Will not be back in the near future. All you can eat crab is now at $56.00!! For that, you get as much previously frozen, overcooked and overly salted crab as you want, with one small clump of horribly tasting potato. Most of the crab came out with a very soft shell due to being frozen for so long and being cooked in too much salt. The meat stuck to the shell making it frustrating to eat as it comes out stringy.

They have now added All you can eat ribs with the crab . They were severely dry and lacked any sort of flavour. They were so dry they were hard to swallow. It seems as though they covered them in them ins some sort of the paprika rub and overcooked the moistness out of them. If you like ooey gooey ribs, Booker's is not the place to go.

Sorry Bookers but I think I'm parting ways.

Went for my birthday last night. Took 20 minutes to get pop and water, service was incredibly slow. We waited over an hour for our food after placing our order. All in all it took two hours to serve us drinks and dinner.



When the food came it was ok. They did give me a discount on our bill which helped, but the experience was disappointing.

Although the service was great from the waitress, I was a little put off by the guy who was hostessing when we came into the restaurant. We requested a booth as I am hard of hearing and not to mention it was extremely loud, he was completely unaccommodating. One of the servers tried to jump in and suggested moving some things around so we could have a booth, and he completely brushed her off, to the point of being very obvious. First impressions are everything, and although we had good service overall, there are other places that serve crab just as good.

We booked a table for 14 last Sunday. After being seated we were finally able to place a drink order 30 minutes in. My husband could not use the toilet and the staff did not really seem to care as after we advised them all the stalls were out of order in the men’s room, they basically forgot all about it while he sat there moving around in his seat, not one to make a scene. I was personally excited to get all you can eat snow crab, although the price was a bit ridiculous at $60 per person, I ordered it anyways assuming it would be well worth it. About an hour or so later, two beers in, I was last of 14 to receive the first plate of “snow crab”. It was small and barely even worth breaking into. About 30 min later they brought out a bucket of hot crab for me and the other two people who ordered all you can eat to share. This time the clusters were proportionate to what one would expect to be getting but after eating one cluster, the rest were cold and none of us really wanted to eat them but that’s how they serve it. You eat the cold ones or you don’t get any more. Needless to say we didn’t get anymore. Our bill turned into $150 because they added on gratuity. I’m fine with gratuity if receiving good service but as the meal continued the other men in our party could not use the toilet either. Waiting was truly the name of the game and the crab was not even close to worth $60. I may have eaten a pound? But I kind of doubt it because it was either small and nothing coming out when broken or big but cold. Servers really had no interest in making it a great experience and it was probably the worst $150 dining experience me and my husband have had anywhere. Thankfully we were in great company and we have a toilet at home. So much for all you can eat crab. Ribs did not taste great either. Perhaps they do this all you can eat to give customers the stuff they are about to throw away, not sure but if that’s the case, they need to rethink the price. Save your money, your time, your bladder and intestines. Go somewhere else.

The food came out in a normal amount of time, however, my ribs were cold and tough, I couldn’t even finish a quarter of the rack. My husband had the brisket chilli,and it was excellent, the sides were also fantastic. Our server did not stop by our table for any QA checks the entire time, although he walked by our table numerous times. There were no sauces on my table, there were no water refills, and I had to go to the next table to grab utensils. After supper, we had to wait again to settle our bill. Our server walked by our table many times without so much as a glance in our direction, we had to again flag him down to pay. It’s too bad this place has gone downhill as we live in the neighbourhood and enjoyed the service, food and atmosphere in the past. Everyone has a bad night now and then, so I’ll chalk it up to just that, but I will not be going back anytime soon.

Ordered our meal of Fish and chips ,I ordered the two piece ,which was just as well as the portions consisted of two smaller pieces of fish and about 20 fries

Asked for vinegar which arrived as i was finishing

Paid a visit to the gents to find both Urinals out of order and had to wait to use the cubicle (Picture available if required)

Ordered dessert, We chose Apple Crumble only to be told there was no ice cream and would we take artificial cream

Paid a second visit to the gents to find Urinals still out of order and cubicle out of use as there was a Hypodermic needle in the toilet bowl

Back to table and when the bill arrived I found they had charged me $13.65 for a drink I never ordered or received

I also noticed on the bill that a service charge of 18% was charged as the group was more than 6 which amounted to over $11 for my share of the bill

This service charge is a tip supposed to be for good service which I would never have paid given the choice

Server arrived to take our drinks order, I ordered a coffee as I was driving,Sorry sir no coffee

Ordered our meal of Fish and chips ,I ordered the two piece ,which was just as well as the portions consisted of two smaller pieces of fish and about 20 fries

Asked for vinegar which arrived as i was finishing

Strike Two

Paid a visit to the gents to find both Urinals out of order and had to wait to use the cubicle (Picture available if required)

Strike Three

Ordered dessert, We chose Apple Crumble only to be told there was no ice cream and would we take artificial cream

Strike Four

Paid a second visit to the gents to find Urinals still out of order and cubicle out of use as there was a Hypodermic needle in the toilet bowl

Strike Five

Back to table and when the bill arrived I found they had charged me $13.65 for a drink I never ordered or received

Server modified the bill

I also noticed on the bill that a service charge of 18% was charged as the group was more than 6 which amounted to over $11 for my share of the bill

This service charge is a tip supposed to be for good service which I would never have paid given the choice

Bookers had better get their act together as I for one will never visit again

and will recommend the same to my friends

This place is a must for any special occasion or get together! We had a 65th surprise party for my husband and Haley and her whole team really went out of there way to make sure everything was perfect! Had heard different reviews and this was our first time at the restaurant and we were absolutely floored ! We had a mixed age group and it appealed to everyone!

The service was stellar, food/appetizers were excellent and all the staff were genuinely happy to serve us and be part of the party! Bookers is like a hidden gem in Calgary!

So ,Thanks again, beyond words and a big shout out to everyone at Bookers who helped us Celebrate and make our special occasion exceptional and a moment to be remembered.

This is my families go to for a “big” family meal. We ALWAYS come on a Sunday for the endless crab and the cheesecake. The food is always excellent and the crab keeps coming nice and hot until you can’t eat any more. The staff are always friendly and you’d never know from the outside what a gem the inside is!

By far our favourite place to eat, that we drive from Red Deer now just for Sunday dinner.

Our server Cass was great! She was knowledgeable about the items on the menu and how to man handle the crab. Extremely cheerful and brought some laughs to our table. Food and service were an A++. Will definitely be back soon!

Our family had New Years dinner here and it was great and our server made it even better! Cindy was so fun and on the ball, we had refills on drinks and food without even asking even though she was very busy and we were upstairs so she had to do the stairs every time! Thanks Cindy and bookers for a great end to 2017!

My husband and I decided to do our gender reveal at Booker's. We told them to bring us out a certain appetizer for a girl and a different one for a boy. The staff was great and brought it out covered and made it feel really special for us! The food is great ( especially their chicken wings), atmosphere is amazing and again the staff there is outstanding! Would recommend this place to anyone

Made a reservation for 4 people on Sunday as it was my birthday. First time going there.



The crab was delicious and the ribs were out of this world. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. Our server was really quick with our orders and really nice. Even got a free slice of cheesecake for my birthday.

Loved my experience with Bookers BBQ & Crab Shack! I made a reservation on Saturday, November 11 for 20 guests for a surprise birthday party. The Manager, Falyn, was incredibly accommodating in putting our large group at one long table in the restaurant on a Saturday evening. She went the extra mile and took photos for us and a video of the surprise. Falyn continued to check on us throughout the evening to ensure that our experience was great. Our server, Hayley, was wonderful! She was fast, efficient, energetic and helped me surprise the birthday boy with cake, candles and singing! The food was delicious (I tried the ribs, brisket, crab and Mac n’ cheese) and the atmosphere was friendly, enthusiastic and warm. Overall, a fantastic experience at Bookers - I would highly recommend the venue!

Everything was great. Our waitress Lindsay was exceptional as was the food. She gave my wife a cheesecake to go for her birthday. Other than having to walk a block to park, it was an excellent experience.

Dog friendly patio...awesome food...great company. What more could you ask for?

I want to write a good review as the food is amazing and the staff is very helpful. Sadly we had a reservation, it took a long time to order, which was fine since it was busy, but we were there for 2 hours before we had any food. This is a tad extreme even for being busy. I am not sure if the order was forgotten to be put in or what happened but the place was 3/4 empty of people that had eaten and left by the time we saw food.

Food was decent, service could have been better. We made a reservation; were seated and all but forgotten. Took a long time to get a servers attention. Once we finally got our order in things seemed to get better. When we were done, the restaurant was almost empty and we struggled to get our bill and then when we wanted to pay our server disappeared...another staff member noticed and helped us out. We wish we’d had him the whole time we were there...the experience would have been much different. It was Super Bowl which may have attributed to issues but in talking to the gentlemen he mentioned they were actually over staffed. Not sure what happened!

Will not be back in the near future. All you can eat crab is now at $56.00!! For that, you get as much previously frozen, overcooked and overly salted crab as you want, with one small clump of horribly tasting potato. Most of the crab came out with a very soft shell due to being frozen for so long and being cooked in too much salt. The meat stuck to the shell making it frustrating to eat as it comes out stringy.

They have now added All you can eat ribs with the crab . They were severely dry and lacked any sort of flavour. They were so dry they were hard to swallow. It seems as though they covered them in them ins some sort of the paprika rub and overcooked the moistness out of them. If you like ooey gooey ribs, Booker's is not the place to go.

Sorry Bookers but I think I'm parting ways.

Went for my birthday last night. Took 20 minutes to get pop and water, service was incredibly slow. We waited over an hour for our food after placing our order. All in all it took two hours to serve us drinks and dinner.



When the food came it was ok. They did give me a discount on our bill which helped, but the experience was disappointing.

We have gone to Bookers a few times and always had good service. Although the service was great from the waitress, I was a little put off by the guy who was hostessing when we came into the restaurant. We requested a booth as I am hard of hearing and not to mention it was extremely loud, he was completely unaccommodating. One of the servers tried to jump in and suggested moving some things around so we could have a booth, and he completely brushed her off, to the point of being very obvious. First impressions are everything, and although we had good service overall, there are other places that serve crab just as good.

We booked a table for 14 last Sunday. After being seated we were finally able to place a drink order 30 minutes in. My husband could not use the toilet and the staff did not really seem to care as after we advised them all the stalls were out of order in the men’s room, they basically forgot all about it while he sat there moving around in his seat, not one to make a scene. I was personally excited to get all you can eat snow crab, although the price was a bit ridiculous at $60 per person, I ordered it anyways assuming it would be well worth it. About an hour or so later, two beers in, I was last of 14 to receive the first plate of “snow crab”. It was small and barely even worth breaking into. About 30 min later they brought out a bucket of hot crab for me and the other two people who ordered all you can eat to share. This time the clusters were proportionate to what one would expect to be getting but after eating one cluster, the rest were cold and none of us really wanted to eat them but that’s how they serve it. You eat the cold ones or you don’t get any more. Needless to say we didn’t get anymore. Our bill turned into $150 because they added on gratuity. I’m fine with gratuity if receiving good service but as the meal continued the other men in our party could not use the toilet either. Waiting was truly the name of the game and the crab was not even close to worth $60. I may have eaten a pound? But I kind of doubt it because it was either small and nothing coming out when broken or big but cold. Servers really had no interest in making it a great experience and it was probably the worst $150 dining experience me and my husband have had anywhere. Thankfully we were in great company and we have a toilet at home. So much for all you can eat crab. Ribs did not taste great either. Perhaps they do this all you can eat to give customers the stuff they are about to throw away, not sure but if that’s the case, they need to rethink the price. Save your money, your time, your bladder and intestines. Go somewhere else.

I’ve been here many times and always found the food and service to be excellent, sadly, last nights meal and service was less than average. We were seated fairly quickly, then we waited about 5 minutes for water, then another 5-8 minutes for our drink order. Once we got those, we had to flag the server down to order food. The food came out in a normal amount of time, however, my ribs were cold and tough, I couldn’t even finish a quarter of the rack. My husband had the brisket chilli,and it was excellent, the sides were also fantastic. Our server did not stop by our table for any QA checks the entire time, although he walked by our table numerous times. There were no sauces on my table, there were no water refills, and I had to go to the next table to grab utensils. After supper, we had to wait again to settle our bill. Our server walked by our table many times without so much as a glance in our direction, we had to again flag him down to pay. It’s too bad this place has gone downhill as we live in the neighbourhood and enjoyed the service, food and atmosphere in the past. Everyone has a bad night now and then, so I’ll chalk it up to just that, but I will not be going back anytime soon.
