Boualouang Laos & Thai Downtown China Town

Wow! This place is simply the best! We stuffed ourselves silly with stuffed chicken wings, spicy Thai wings, satay chicken kebabs, prawn, pineapple & taro root spring rolls, phad Thai, duck & lychee curry, matsuman curry & coconut rice. We enjoyed every bite. The serving sizes are generous so now we have dinner for tomorrow too. We will be back - soon!

Tom Yum soup is unbelievable

I took my mother to Boualouang yesterday for Mother’s Day. We had exceptional food and a wonderful visit. Towards the end of our dinner a sweet family of four walked in and waited patiently for a table.

The waitress was a little overwhelmed with dirty tables but managed to seat them with a smile, being over their menus and water to drink.

A rush of people came within 10 minutes and she was the only one on the floor trying to manage everything including people who were already seated and waiting for their meals.

The woman at the table of four watched for a few moments then stood up, grabbed a cloth and a bottle of cleaner and started washing tables to help the waitress.

A few more people joined in to help clean up the restaurant as well.

It was one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen.

This young mother who was out to celebrate Mother’s Day with her little family took the time to wash tables at a restaurant so the waitress wasn’t so far behind.



We need more people like her in the world.
