Was at the store to have my son's front bike tire fixed or replaced. Derek at the shop, took the time to see what option was less expensive, (replacing the bike rim) and then said if I had time he would show me how to change a bike tire so I could do it myself in the future. Once complete, he gave the bike a once over and gave tips on keeping the bike maintained and safe. it was a great experience and I gained some new skills. Thanks a lot Derek and Bow Cycle.

My wife and I were looking for an entry level bike that would fit her short inseam / stature. After doing a fair amount of research we selected 3 bike shops in Calgary and area, and due to the large selection and generally positive reviews Bow Cycle easily made the list.

Pros:
- Stock / Selection: They had lots of frames and sizes in stock. You can go there knowing they'll have SOMETHING in your size somewhere in your price range. They also have a wide selection of tools, equipment and gear to upgrade and pimp out your ride.

- Price: Very competitive, and sales that often can't be beat on bikes, tools and equipment.

- Location: Easy to get to, convenient parking and lovely building.

Unfortunately we didn't end up purchasing our bike from Bow Cycle. The following factored into our decision:

- Brands: While they have some brands other well known brands are not carried.

- Service: While the service person we talked to was beyond friendly and attentive we found he showed us one model above our budget, and said to look around because they had our size in pretty much everything downstairs. We were not offered a test ride (to be fair I'm not sure where that would have happened) or even offered to pull the bike out to sit on and see how it felt. We were then left to browse, so after looking around we decided to move on and see what else what out there.

Verdict: If you know what you want and Bow Cycle has it go for it (I know I would / will be). But if you want a more personalized one and one experience, this may not be the bike shop for you. Definitely worth making a stop if your in the market for something bike / cycling related, and as you can see by the responses from ownership to reviews here they clearly care about making sure you are happy with your products and services.

Thanks Bow Cycle! Sorry it didn't work out this time, but we won't be strangers.

I recently came into Bow Cycle for a repair on my CX bike. I have purchased a number of bikes from them many years ago but up until now I have been doing my own maintenance, mostly due to the fact that I dont have time to leave my bike at a shop often. I was greeted by Mike at the service department. Mike was able to resolve the issue with my bike in less than 10 minutes and also took a look at the rest of my bike for any other potential issues. Mike helped me understand how parts of my bike should be tuned and repaired and was very personable. Even with a full
customer line the staff all kept their cool and gave every customer the attention they needed. Thanks Bow Cycle!

My wife and I bought new bikes from bow cycle last September. Within one year bow cycle offers a free tune up on bikes over $1000.00. Our bill was $2100.00 with accessory's. Unfortunately the service manager Louie refused to give us any discount since our bill on bikes alone was $1950.00. There is a privately owned bike shop 500 meters from our house, however; I wanted to give bow cycle an opportunity to have life long customers. When i told bow cycle i would probably service our bikes elsewhere, they response was "we don't care." Wow, great follow through after initial sale!

Bikes were purchased under my wife's name Christine.

I have been very impressed with the sales staff, service staff and mechanics. They've won over a new customer. The bike fitting is an excellent bonus!

In the morning my boyfriend went to buy a scooter for our son. He told me that the service was horrible that no one help him and after the purchase no body offered him to blow the tires. The front tires.
Later this afternoon we came back to exchange the scooter we want a bigger one and we wanted in an other colour the lady how help us this time was very nice and she help us in all the process even she blow the tires and now we are happy 😊
I think the customer service is not the greatest and you have to push hard the employees to work.

Absolutely excellent customer service in the bike sales department. Cory helped us out and made sure I was able to try every bike I wanted, make suggestions on different bikes and brands, and made an effort to find bikes that were hidden in the back. In the end I went with a bike that he suggested that ended up being a last years model on sale, a Norco XFR-2.
So happy with the service here, would definitely recommend stopping in, even if its just to browse through the massive amount bikes they have in stock!
