Bow Valley Midwifery

Bow Valley Midwifery was formerly a small primary care midwifery clinic serving Bow Valley women and their growing families.

Update 2016: Sadly, due to lack of consistent provincial funding for rural midwifery, Meg, the Bow Valley's only RM had to close her practice until further notice. She wiould happily return in the event that there is a signed contract from the Alberta Government for consistent funding for collaborative and sustainable midwifery services in the Bow Valley.

Bow Valley Midwifery offers informed choices, choice of birth place (Canmore hospital or home) and continuity of care for healthy low risk women from 8wks of pregnancy until 6 wks postpartum who live in Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise and Exshaw.

Midwives are registered primary care providers in Canada and offer the same high quality obstetrical care you would receive from your physician but offer an additional unique personal connection and more individualized approach. Bow Valley Midwifery currently practices the traditional model of home based prenatal and postpartum care which means you never have to leave home for your visits.
