Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant

I have been wanting to go to the Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant for almost 10 years! Today, my partner took me there for my birthday! Absolutely phenomenal atmosphere, service and food!!!! From start to finish, exceeded expectations, I would go here for every special occasion without hesitation! Thank you for an amazing experience

So impressed!! The location, ambience, decor, scenery could not have been better.
The staff were attentive but not intrusive. It was service with a smile and we never felt rushed. The menu was extensive, the meals were delicious. It was wonderful to dine and not be distracted by TV screens or assaulted by loud music! Cannot recommend this place enough! We will be back, especially for special occasions.

Have been to this restaurant three times in the past and was generally happy with the food and service. Unfortunately went recently for a family members milestone birthday. Rude service. Was told flat out "no" when asked if I could substitute a side on my main order. That was followed by some bogus excuse. A few other things occurred that soured our groups feeling of the restaurant. This was all capped off by over an hour wait for our food.
Nice location but much more willing to spend my money and time elsewhere, at the very least in a place with decent service. Will not be coming back.

We had our wedding here this past August and it was amazing! We always have the best food and service on a regular night out, and the wedding day was no exception. All our guests were blown away by the food and service. The ladies we were dealing with when coordinating everything (Camilla and Lisa) were amazing and so great to work with. Thanks so much!

My hubby and I found this place a bit ago and were ecstatic! Amazing waiters, delicious food, and a relaxed experience. We even brought our girls (7 and 12) with us for our Anniversary dinner this year, so that they could share the amazing food experience. Unfortunately, when we brought my mother in law who was here visiting from thousands of miles away, we had our last meal. The female server we had that night was incredibly rude, to the point that my mother in law didn't even want to stay and eat. She had asked for a simple adult portion of an item from the kids menu (due to allergies) and she was then spoken to as a child! The Manager in training tried to make up for it with a simple "sorry". Our experience in finer restaurants is more than "sorry". A total lack of customer service exceeded our desire to ever go back. If you go, make sure your waiter is a male ;)

We had the beef tenderloin and it was the best one I had in Calgary so far. It was extremely tender and it came with a very sophisticated and delightful choice of side vegetables and puree. If you are a chocolate lover, the Death by Chocolate mousse is to die for. There a few places in Calgary that can live up to my fine dining expectations and the Bow Valley Ranche is on the top of the list by far.
