Bowen is a form of soft tissue manipulation that releases pain and allows the body's own healing force to flourish. The moves are very gentle rolling motions over the belly of muscle or a tendon and sometimes a neurovascular bundle. Most people today live in a constant state of high stress. We are in a sympathetic state of over-stimulation and stress. Bowen helps the body go from a sympathetic to parasympathetic state. This allows the body to reactivate the recovery process and start healing from trauma, sickness or surgery. Bowen is gentle and soothing yet, remarkable effective, wtih clients requiring as few as three to five sessions for permanent relief. Each Bowen treatment consists of precise soft tissue manipulation on muscle, nervers and tendons, interspersed by short pauses that allow the body to integrate the effects.
