Box By No Frills

Used to shop here diligently until the recent renovations. It's not even fair to call it No Frills anymore... the prices went up, stopped selling a lot of my regular purchases and store hours changed. Might as well go back to Superstore.

I have noticed a significant jump in prices since this store was remodelled in September. For example, the dog food I regularly bought there went up from $9.98 to $11.98. This week they are advertising Lactantia butter for $3.97 (save 2.42). Safeways has the same butter for $2.99 this week (save 2.30). Given the limited selection, and the need to constantly check their prices, I will continue driving on down the road and shop at Walmart or Superstore. Too bad - it was a good deal before No Frills got into the name.

Incredibly ignorant staff. Been treated rudely by the cashiers every single time we've shopped there, so we will definitely not be back. The final time, the cashier snapped 'Receipt?' I said, "yes please" and she screwed it up and threw it at me as in a temper! When I asked her why she did that, she said "well I have a lot of people waiting in line!" We don't expect much in the way of manners (like the words, 'thank you') given that it's No Frills, but that was too ridiculous.

Staff who work in the store are great I always find. However, the prices have gone up a lot since it first opened. The selection isn't as good and its good downhill a bit. The tricky this is that at times the selection is so poor that you have to buy something more expensive than going to Superstore. This takes a lot of the benefit of it away, but I guess this is the purpose of them doing it.

It is not a genuine No Frills franchise and doesn't carry items on No Frills flyer. They do have some good deals but if you are visiting for the deals that you see on online flyers, you'll be disappointed.

Best place to shop if you're on a budget.

Not much to choose from but what they do have is well priced.v

Every time we have been in the staff are too busy moping around the store to open up another till and alleviate the 10 person line up. Got a bunch of attitude last time we went for having a full cart which made them open up another till as the cashier was literally throwing items onto the conveyor in an aggravated manner
We love No Frills, do yourself a favour and go to the one in Okotoks where they appreciate their customers, it's worth the extra mileage.
