Smokey is one of Edmonton’s best.

User

Truly excellent. It's a really warm, friendly, classy, charming little place with a great menu and super staff. I had a really good time and I'd recommend it to anyone.

User

This place is really cute and cozy, the menu is very very good as well. I will definitely going back!!

User

The Almanac is a gem on Whyte Ave! The food, service and prices are excellent and the live music is stellar! Drop by for the Sunday Song Stage (open mic) each week from 7-10 pm!

User

Service is top notch and staff are amazing. Very accommodating to what you want, food is a must go have yourself, there are many variety of plates everyone will enjoy

User

Popped in for the first time last night for a drink with my partner. We sat at the bar and were served by Jared, who was very friendly and helpful in our decision for a cocktail! Stumbled upon the Hearing Trees show and loved their music. Overall, I had a great time. The atmosphere, the music, the drinks, and the staff were all great. I'll definitely be back!

User

If you're looking for a lil' cozy spot on Whyte Avenue to play at, or fancy yourself an open mic from 7:00-10:00 PM every Sunday night, The Almanac is the place to be. Service and food are absolutely spot-on.

User

I'm biased - I know the owner, just didn't know that till I got there.

Recommendation was on point - Salmon sweet. Risotto was maybe the best I've ever had. Go and do yourself a flavor and start the night, end the night, or spend your night at the Almanac. You could even just get an Alma-snac and you'll be happy. #trademark #nailedit #nobias #notfox #notnbc

Had a great time, Duck Confit was amazing, waitress was cute.

User

Great service, amazing food, and wonderful cocktail selection! Awesome for lunch, supper, or drinks with friends.

User

Great food and wines plus they were amazing at accommodating our changing booking for a group!

User

Good on the management for allowing an impromptu open stage Sunday night when some miscommunication locked us out of our usual digs. A very welcoming spot, great room for music, good selection of beer, wine, and etc, and great service.

User

Fantastic cocktails and snacks. Great atmosphere. Awesome addition to Whyte Ave. Can't wait to check out the lunch, brunch, and dinner menu. Congrats, guys! I know you'll do very well :)

User

Bill is an extremely talented bartender. He can make a fantastic drink on a suggestion or make an old favourite, whatever you wish.

Food is delicious! Staff are friendly and it's a fun place to hang out.

A must visit in Edmonton. Better yet, become a regular .

User

Best on Whyte. Great enviroment. Great food. Great drinks. Quality. Their Sunday brunch is real food, not just hangover grub.

User

Best Old Fashioned I've ever drank. The bartender was amazing and we enjoyed the making of the drinks almost as much as we loved the drinks themselves. Didnt even hesitate went I went off menu. I dont live in Edmonton, but when i visit you can guarantee Ill come back. Again and again and again

User

Awesome food, friendly staff, reasonably priced. Very comfortable atmosphere, cozy and warm. Highly recommend !!

User

A favorite post-work cocktail stop. Creative and carefully curated food and beverage lineup. Casual atmosphere, great service.

User

Meh. I suppose if having a great time with great live music, great service (awesome staff and servers), a terrific beer list and fun food is you're idea of a good time, you should probably try this great place! :D If you're gonna 'yelp' that the place was too crowded with happy people, and that it took "OMG like seven minutes!" for someone to take your drink order, you should probably stay home. Super great evening, The Almanac - we'll be back!

User

A nice place with good food - we did dinner before catching a musician recommended by a friend..

Cocktails, entrees, and a bottle of wine ran us $110 for two. Acoustics were harsh, a loud table at the other end of the restaurant managed to pierce our conversation.

Service was attentive and well done. Ambiance is slightly hipster, but that may have been more a reflection of the live music that took place in the back half starting at 7.30pm (a separate entry ticket was required for that - not part of the meal experience). Overall a nice place to hang for few hours if you're 50ish like me....
