Braeside On 24Th Medical Walk-In Clinic

Overall a good face to face experience, went in with a work related Injury, between medical reports being sent to WCB incomplete and medical reports just not getting sent, this clinic is not worth your time. Management at the clinic not much help, just recommended coming in and seeing another doctor, so i did..... at a different clinic.

The wait can be quite long, but the front desk staff were nice and the doc visit was fine.

Fairly friendly staff. And as far as walk in clinics go they were fairly helpful. The lady that I gave my prescription too was very friendly and helpful.

Good service most of the time. Have been forgotten about and left waiting a few times. But far less time then any other walk in.

Doctor Jansen was very patient to answer all questions and gave good treatment suggestion.

I had an appointment to see doctor Stearns to get a result about a mammogram. I am 32 and my sister of age 38 had just been diagnost. I was 10 min late due to traffic on deerfoot that I couldn't of controlled. Waiting in her office, she barges in demanding why I am late. I told her due to unforseen circumstances and deerfoot was backed up I had to take a different route. Her tone of voice was not pleasant and she was extremely rude to me. Huge attitude. Here I am sitting there.. suppose to get important information about my test results of breast cancer. And she is worried about 10 min that I couldn't control of being late. She blurted out that my mammogram is fine and continued with saying we have no time for anything else ( how to do proper self examination of breast) and that I will have to get another test in 2 years. I spoke up with tears in my eyes and I said I'm under a lot of stress can you please stop yelling at me. I got up and I left.... went to my car.. and cried.. not because I was cancer free cause it didn't actually sink in yet ....but because I was so rudely treated! She was suppose to be my family doctor who I feel comfortable around.... now...I will never return to Doctor Stearns. The clinic... yes.......her... not a chance!!!!!

Have normally had good dealings with my family doctor there.. but multiple conflicts with front line staff.. had one person yelling at me over the phone and arguing my family physician was actually not my physician, preceded by her hanging up. From what I understand, she no longer works there.. and this is due to other interpersonal issues she's had with patients.
Subsequently, after explaining to frontline staff that I had payed for a previous driver's medical and hoped to negotiate a lesser fee due to their not having the previously completed form on file..found myself faced with a doctor I had never delt with and who was expecting full payment. I asked the receptionist I initially spoke to before my appointment why she had not notified the doctor before seeing me about my situation with the fees.. during the course of my conversation, which involved normal conversational tones and volume, the doctor who had initially told me we could negotiate the fees via a phone conversation several weeks ago, was now asking me to leave the clinic.
I was completely shocked and asked why, to which she had no response. Not wanting further conflict, I left immediately.
My dealings with my own family doctor; Dr.Vanreisburg.. have been good and met all of my medical needs.. however; with some front line staff and with the doctor mentioned above, I'm beyond both disbelief and shock at the level of unprofessionalism I experienced. My need to leave and not protract the exchange also resulted in abandoning a prescription I needed for an on going medical issue. I received no follow-up call to discuss what happened, nor any mention of the needed medication.
There will be follow thorough on these matters.

I was highly disappointed. I was hoping for some help and all I got was hurried along, because the waiting room was filling up. The doctor prescribed me something for a problem I don't have and didn't take the time to really try and help me out...he did admit to it and apologize, but that still didn't help me. He suggested that I go to my old family doctor across the city for follow up with my problem. I'm going to take that advice, because I wasted my time going to this clinic and I'm sure I will be more successful with my old family doctor, even if I have to take a bus 1 1/2 hours across the city.
The only positives are the receptionist was very sweet and nice, I was in and out in hour and I got a requisition for bloodwork, so my family doctor will be well informed when he sees me.
I did witness a very good doctor immediately assist a young woman who walked in with breathing difficulty...looked like she was having an asthma attack. Too bad I didn't get him, maybe I would have had better results.

Have been without a family doctor for a few years and had some potentially serious medical issues. Have a new family doctor and he has resolved these issues. Also the staff are respectful, efficient, and really nice.

True professionals. Typically would not expect to find this type of care from nurses or doctors at a walk-in clinic. They were fantastic!!!

My doctor is fantastic. Thorough and you can tell he really cares for his patient's well being on the whole not just physically. The staff here are amazing, friendly and professional. Best decision I made health wise to find a new doctor.
