Bravo! Design is a Calgary Interior Design firm. Providing full service interior design consulting offering innovative strategic planning, brand manifestation, design development, CADD services, project management and facilities consulting services for corporate, commercial, institutional, retail, hospitality, and residential interiors with the goal of meeting and exceeding our client’s needs and expectations. Bravo! Design also specializes in Universal and Accessible design.

Over the past 13 years, Bravo! Design has developed a solid track record and the resources to manage a broad range of projects through to final completion. The principal of the firm, Harold Crittenden, prior to establishing Bravo! Design in 1998, successfully completed numerous projects over the course of a 38 year career, beginning with R. G. O. Office Furnishings, New West Development Corporation as Architectural Coordinator (Multi Family Division), then a partner with Tavender and Associates, a principal and design director with Marshall Cummings and associates, and a partner with Chomik Crittenden Architects.

As experts on Universal and Accessable design Bravo! Design understands that User-friendly, accessible environments aim to improve peoples’ understanding, experience and enjoyment of a place by providing the right information at the right time. Universal design is a framework to increase usability and accessibility to environments for as many people as possible regardless of age, ability, ethnicity or circumstance. By understanding the challenges faced by all members of our society, a solution can be designed which benefits everyone. We are well-versed with existing research literature, guidelines and standards including ADA standards (Americans with Disabilities Act) including proposed amendments, ODA (Ontarians with Disabilities Act. ) This provides direct insight into addressing difficulties experienced by persons with disabilities and consideration of environmental conditions unique to facilities of this type.

Bravo! Design looks at each and every project from a micro perspective. In this way we determine the minimum requirements for each space to establish the common denominators. In other words, we try not to design empty rooms. Furniture and equipment as well as the users needs inform and establish the appropriate size and proportion of each space. The grid and pattern of the existing building also contribute to the form and appropriate proportion of the space.
