About Briarpatch Community Preschool
We have created this page as a way to stay active within our community and keep in touch with our Alumni and future families.
Briarpatch Community Preschool Description
The BriarPatch Community Preschool is an early learning program for 3-5 year olds. Our goal is to get children and their families excited for their next adventure in Kindergarten but also recognizing that they have needs right now (emotional and cognitive).
Our lead teacher has her Bachelor of Arts and her Bachelor of Education (with a focus on Early Childhood). Her mentor teacher is a highly regarded Kindergarten teacher in the province and the two keep in close contact.
Our teaching assistant has been on our team for four years and has her Level 1.
We are an inclusive centre who in the past has welcomed team members from Community Options, Over the Rainbow, Grant MacEwan Early Learning and a work experience student from L. Y Cairns.
We believe that children learn the best in rich and real learning environments and as such ensure they are involved in their community.
