Bridges At Claresholm Golf Club

The Bridges at Claresholm Golf Club is located in the South West Corner of the Town of Claresholm. The Town of Claresholm is located 1 Hour South of the City of Calgary on Highway 2 and 45 Minutes North West of the City of Lethbridge on Highway 2.

The original nine holes in Claresholm were opened in 1978. The course is owned by the Town of Claresholm but run by its members. In 1999 the members conducted a study to look at expanding to an 18-hole course. In 2001, Les Furber was contracted to design the new back nine holes. Mr. Furber indicated that this was a challenge that he had not done in any of his previous endeavours. He moved more earth in this project than any other design as we needed the design to incorporate enough water storage to water the course. The Town agreed to sign for a loan of $1. 2 million with the membership running the course and paying down the loan. The construction also included a $0. 5 million clubhouse and tournament facility. The opening of the 18 hole The Bridges at Claresholm Golf Course occurred in June of 2005.
