Brisebois Bees

Tomorrow Tuesday, I'll be visiting all of the hives for a final throughout inspection before winter (I have 1 four frame nuc with a reserve queen), wrap them with a BeeCozy and to feed them 2L of syrup. I may treat for Varroa depending on the hive. I'll be starting at 10am to catch the warmth of the day, each hive takes about 30 min. This autumn has been hard on the flowers, so the bees haven't had much to forage on. I have a feeling it's going to be a tough winter for the bees.

The honey extractor cage welds broke, but I found a welder who fixed it up for $50. Back in action. There will be a fresh summer honey harvest available for purchase this Sunday noon to 5pm. Back to spinning honey on this rainy day.
