I tried shipping an item to Canada, expecting an import fee of 18%. Now that my package is at the border I'm finding out that it was SHIPPED FROM CHINA, and Canadian imports charges 33% IN DUTIES. Totally unexpected! And what does Brooks Brothers have to say about this when I called? "The country of origin is printed on the product label". Not very helpful if I don't have the label in front of me when deciding on the purchase. So, in the words of the Brooks Brothers customer service representative "WE DO NOT RECOMMEND SHIPPING TO CANADA"

We were helped by Trish, who was friendly and attentive; my shopping experience felt personalized without any pushy sales tactics. She even climbed into the display window to pull a dress off a mannequin as it was the only one in my size.
The clothes here are beautiful and well made. They are pricier, but most of the pieces have a classic feel and are the type to remain fashionable for many years.

Great service ..... nice shirts for those of us who are athletic (6'3", 48" chest, 36" waist).

I had a pair of red fleece slacks that I purchased approx 6 months ago. I wore them approx 20 times and washed them once. Last week, they ripped when I bent over to tie my shoe. I expect Brooks Brothers pants to last longer than 6 months and 20 wears. That is why I am willing to pay more for them. I just got back from the Calgary Eaton Centre location where they were unable to provide a return, exchange, or store credit. If I were to return a pair of pants under similar circumstances to Nordstrom's, I know that they would provide at very least a store credit. I'm not a big shopper, but I typically spend $500-$700 per season (or $2000/yr) on clothing. I had shopped exclusively at Brooks Brothers for the past 3 seasons because I like the style and service. However, I value a return policy that protects me from clothing that does not last more than 6 months and as a result, I am going to start shopping at Nordstrom's.

The staff are all very nice; however their communication tends to be poor and they are super slow in getting anything done. Whenever I try to just pop in for a minute it turns into this long ordeal where I'm not sure what is going on, but paper seems to be getting stapled to other paper and stuff is getting shuffled around. In the future I will just go to O'connors or Holt.

Very good service. The quality of the shirts is not all that great. On traditional supima dress shirts that are the proper size, the elbows wear out really easily from normal use. I am an office worker and do not do any strenuous work at all so I am very disappointed to have this repeated defect in such high end clothing.
