Buchanan'S

My home away from home. I love all of the staff here. I started going for the whiskey and kept going because of how well they treat everyone.

I was there for a special function in the side room. Food was amazing and paired so well with the whiskeys that we had! The staff were very friendly and the service was fast and courteous! They have an incredible whisky selection.

Great food and atmosphere. The whisky wall is very impressive.

Prices are pretty high, however you get what you pay for.

Excellent food at Buchanan's, tucked away in the north west corner of downtown but the real draw here is their Whisky menu. They are in my opinion the best place in Calgary and possibly Western Canada for a selection of Whisky & Scotches and the knowledge to go alone with it. They even have a private tasting room you can book, to get together with friends and expand your experience with the waters of life.

My $88 steak was terrible. Cooked poorly and flavorless. Mashed potatoes had chunks which weren't desirable.

Good:
The dessert was good. Had the triple chocolate mousse.

They have a decent selection of ports, whiskies and scotch as well.

The good things couldn't make up for how terrible my food was.

Always a favourite. The best burgers in Calgary period. Ground in house from hand cut steaks and cooked to order (rare please)!

INCREDIBLE Scotch and Whisky menu. Excellent food. Knowledgeable staff. If you are a Scotch lover this is Mecca. You owe it to yourself to make a pilgrimage.

I like to come here after work, the burgers are excellent and the staff is great. They also have a great collection of whisky! Love it!
