Cutting his teeth on Volkswagen's in 1985, Arie rebuilt his first engine at the age of 18. It was a 1600cc air cooled dual port for a 1973 VW Beetle with 60HP.
By the age of 23 he was working in a shop that built a naturally aspirated beetle that was doing the 1 /4 mile in 11. 5 seconds!
From there, he went on to building mud boggers with small block V8's, 44" tires and some serious Nitrous. He not only built them, he raced them!
Arie's other passion is motorcycles. He has been riding for 32 years. He has owned many Harley Davidson's, Honda's and Yamaha's, however for the past few years he has thoroughly enjoyed riding and maintaining his Victory's.
