Busy Bee Tools

The ladys at the tills are always so nice and friendly , but the men on the floor, are some of the most depressed and sad looking people i have ever met. They are never friendly , they should not be in customer service at all. If i can find the product some where else i will go there where i can talk to a friendly person. These guys are some of the saddest people i have ever seen, and truly look like hate their job. I feel uncomfortable just walking into the store and being around them. Not a way to keep you r company going thats for sure. Maybe they should get meds for depression??

Bought a new 14" band saw from them (craftex their brand). The sales rep sold me the wrong size of blades for the saw... (and I live 2.5 hours away, so I'm not driving back to return/exchange these blades). Poor service.

Also the saw itself, the extension wing is very much not flat or level at all.

Product setup instructions are incredibly poor.

Bought an expensive milling machine at regular price, then it went on sale couple of months later. Wouldn't give me the price difference, not even any store credit. I would have been happy with anything, but nothing. Also they're return policy is terrible. Won't shop there again.

Bought a mortise machine. Casting on back of machine was flawed. They told me I over tightened the handle. Which I never touched. I would never deal with these crooks again. They sell poor quality products then refuse to give a full refund.

Absolute joke.

I've bought many items at this store and I'm happy with my purchases. The lathe/mill combo and other metal working tools are excellent for the price. The customer service is good. My only concern is that the store closes before I get off from work. If the store hours were better, I'd probably shop there more often. :-)

Average service nothing special but nothing off. Store is extremely well laid out, neat and staffed. Taiwanese equipment for example, will vary in fit and finish, tolerances vary with some equipment being more prone to problems due to poor quality control issues. Accept that or spend more for higher grade equipment. The big issue is will they stand behind their product at Busy Bee. Will they address deficiencies? Until they give you an iron clad guarantee, I'd be at least cautious. Busy Bee Tools has gotten better over the decades.
