Caesar'S Steak House & Lounge

Service was fantastic and atmosphere was that of an iconic steak house. Sides and bread (yeah!) were great, but oddly I was disappointed by the rib eye. Make a visit for the institutional value of this place. Bring your prepare to break your piggy bank to pay the cheque.

Caesars is a classic stake house with excellent food. All steaks (aka emperors fest ) are 4 course (onion soup, garlic & cheese bread, salad, steak w/potato). I saw someone on here complain that there wasn't enough sides on the steak. If your looking for some kale garnish you are missing the point of Caesars. Old school service, with excellent drinks and amazing steak. I recommend this place to anyone and is a great place to take a client for a business deal.

This place has been a go to for amazing quality steak for years now and they never seem to have a down time. A for consistency. If you are downtown Calgary and wanting to experience the top notch beef we are always bragging about, make sure to hit up Caesar's for lunch or dinner.

My favourite steak house in Calgary. I take all my friends and family there when they come to visit. The steak is always grilled to perfection.

We had a large group for a terrific dinner. Our server was very attentive and friendly, our glasses never sat empty. Made terrific recommendations for wines and accommodations for steak sizing. This place has some old world glamour, and a luxury experience for a reasonable price

We decided on this gem prior to our arrival in Calgary. The reviews were good, and on a recent blog, it was said to be in the top 5 steakhouses in the city. The location downtown is pure class and a history lesson in old school flare. A little dated on the outside, the steps into the lobby set the stage with fine finishes and marble floors. The dining room is dressed in dark wood, red leather and brass. Very clean. The servers were excellent, and great to watch, like a well oiled machine.
The menu, food, and pricing were all excellent. We decided on two rib eye steaks, that come with impressive en'tre accompaniments. We paid extra to have the table side Caesar salad, which involves the server making you the dressing from scratch, including cracking the egg. To this day, its the best Caesar salad I've ever had.
All in all, very happy with everything. Would return, and would not hesitate to recommend.

Love the environment but the food was not as expected. The soup was nice, salad very oily, very strong cheese bread and once I got my 14 oz steak it had at least 5 oz of fat in the center of the cut. This was poor rib eye cut selection for the price and it left me feeling ill. I also did not get a chance to show the waiter as the table was cleaned very quickly by other staff who did not say anything or question the amount of steak and fat on my plate-that's concerning. It's too bad as we drove 3 hrs to enjoy a nice meal at a great highly reviewed steakhouse only be walk away disappointed. Save your money and go to The Keg!

I have been coming to Caesars since the 1970's.The food and decore are old school red leather dark wood throwback Vegas.The steak is still some of the best in a city that puts a premium on great beef.The service is attentive never intrusive.To have any credibility discussing steak in Calgary you must eat here.

On Saturday my boyfriend and I decided to try a different steakhouse instead of our regular choice, the Keg, to celebrate my 21 birthday. Boy was that a regret! We called to make the reservation. Our server was not friendly nor did he seem to care about us. Not once did he ask us if we were celebrating something special which would have been nice of him to ask. The food is crap for the prices they charge. The salad was limp and disgusting. Mcdonalds makes a more presentable salad with healthier looking and tasting lettuce. The french onion soup was very small and had no cheese in it. The cheese and garlic bread are literally thick slices of buttered toast cut into three slices. The bread was soggy. My lobster tails tasted frozen and not fresh. The food took way to long to come out. In total, including tip, we paid a little over $200. They charge you Ruth Chris prices for such terrible service and food. Don't waste a dime here, not worth it. If you look on Yelp or Trip Advisor on my review about them you will see that the owner has finally responded to me. He was very unprofessional in his response, basically accused me of lying about my review, saying that I didn't even have a reservation, said I failed as a customer to let management know the moment it happened, and said he would be more then happy that I don't return. Why eat at a place that doesn't value their customers concerns and instead turns it around on the customer. They charge you an arm and a leg for fast food customer service and if you say anything about it, they either ignore your complaints or blame you for their own mistakes. I've never encountered such an unprofessional business in my life.

If you want the nostalgic, classic steakhouse experience, then Caesar's is the place to go. Diet-busting deliciousness! Cocktails are made strong -- the way they were meant to be drank.

This establishment has excellent food and the service was great.
The t-bone steak was tender and juicy. I ate the tenderloin section using nothing but a fork and I could eat the strip steak section using a butter knife to cut it. The sides were fantastic and the Apple pie I had for dessert was good. Our waiter earned his $100 tip, serving the four of us anything our hearts desired from the menu. The pricing is a little on the expensive side, but definitely worth trying at least once.
I have had a more tender steak (eaten with plastic utensils) and I have had better service (I won't name the English restaurant). All I can say is, if you are going to try a high end steakhouse, Caesar's downtown is the place to go.
