Congratulations to Esi Edugyan, the 2018 Giller Prize Winner ! Remarkably, this is not her first time winning the award. Her 2011 novel Half-Blood Blues also won the prize.

Brenda is Sending help to California horses lost and separated in the fire . I am a volunteer/ now owner of a rescue horse from Dare To Dream . I go twice weekly if you have anything tat can help

A message for all to be alert - a pair of bewigged individuals went into our staff office and stole a wallet CC’s etc . They also stole from other stores near to us going behind the till desk , after distracting the staff . They went shopping straight away with the stolen cards . The RCMP have been informed .

Beautiful leather hand made literary journals small ones have hand torn paper. Made in Canada These have a literary quote on the first page and the rest of the pages are plain paper .

Would anyone be interested in a skype visit from the author of The Witches Daughter, The Silver Witch , The Winter Witch and The Midnight Witch . This would have to take place around 11.30 - midnight on Halloween in Chapter 2 . We are being sent signed bookplates and pins. The author lives in a cottage in the hills of Wales ....just asking as she is keen to appear in the witching hour ...

The making of our bookshelves . We found the Butler Pantry front from an old mansion in Pennsylvania at Uniquities in Calgary .They used recycled wood to extend them and here they are extended and then fitted and then in use !!

Such a great store!

Staff are polite and knowledgeable. If they don't have it they order it for me and it's quick. I always find a good read in there!

Special little gem in the Rockies! A must visit for books & gifts.

Sat down for tea and a treat in the cafe in the back (which I've been meaning to do for months!) Delicious, yes. But even better is the atmosphere...quiet, lovely music and surrounded by books! Beats any coffee shop in town!

Perfect blend of shop, wonderland and epic tearoom :)

Long live the spirit and pluck of the independent bookseller! After years of visits and conversations with the Joy and her book-loving staff at Cafe Books, I felt honoured to be there talking about my own book "Separation Anxiety..." -- signing al fresco -- in the June sunshine.

I love this beautiful book store. They have a great selection of books and if they don’t have it they can bring it in.

Great new and used books. The tea shop is wonderful. Great for lunch or afternoon delights. Tea without the hipsters, just how it should be. My new favorite place in Canmore.

Great little bookstore in downtown Canmore often they carry a unique selection on books along with the popular reads of the day.

Great find! After traipsing around Alaska and BC to find a particular book, I finally found it here! And so many other wonderful books, wish I could have taken more with me. Such a wonderful store.

Found this delightful bookshop and cafe this afternoon whilst looking for somewhere to have a coffee.

My husband and I both enjoyed the applepie with cream and excellent hot chocolate. What a find.

Loved the quirky mix of vintage, books and gifts. Quite delightful.

Don't miss the used books and cafe in the back of the store.

Awesome Independent local book store in a world where the giants have taken over. Great selection of books and gifts. They also have used books and a charming tea room with tasty treats!
