Got a referral from my GP so I called Caleo to book my appointment, they said I have to prepay $250 online before the appointment which would be 3 months away. When I asked what the 250 was for they said it's for the assessment and physiotherapist. I asked if I would be getting physiotherapy or any treatments during this first visit they said no. Then I looked on the reviews here and got even more turned off...Basically they just want to reach into your pockets even though they bill alberta health.

Had a surgery a year ago that was completely botched for a disc herniation. 3 follow up MRI's have shown that the surgeon completely missed what was wrong. Didn't want to go back to that surgeon and had to insist on a second opinion. Finally got a second consult, that I had to wait months and months for. I go to my appointment on time and wait 30 minutes to see him. Finally ask the receptionist how far behind he is running? only to be told that he isn't even in the building. Asked her to call to find out where he is? and told No, she can't do that. Ask to speak with a manager, only to be told that there is nothing they can do. Each doctor essentially "rents" their space there and is responsible for how they run their practice. Have spoken with countless people who had the same surgeon as I have while sitting in the waiting area. 4 people have told me that he has botched their surgeries as well, and they are now having their 3rd or 4th surgery to try to correct. Sounds like a money making scheme to me. All they care about is billing Alberta health care. They don't care about the patient at all! Ignorant to make people take time off work, and not even show up and no apology. Don't waste your time or money! I wanted to give zero stars, but it wouldn't let me. But it isn't even worthy of the 1 star.

New to physiotherapy for back pain and wanted several appointments so I could learn techniques that would help me to help myself. Figured the best place to start was with therapists who knew backs. I called to get some info and set up the appointments. The receptionist barely had time for me, sounded rushed and disinterested. She spoke very rapidly and I kept saying 'pardon me?" I got a poor impression and went no further. I know the receptionist's attitude doesn't reflect the skills of the therapists but I just don't want to do business where I don't feel valued. So the one star is for customer relations.

Not the best place. You do not get to see a surgeon right away and doctors available try their best but aren't experts. At least I got some tests done, but no real answers. I'm not sure why 200$ is charged for what seems to be mostly health care covered services. There is nt much choice in Calgary if you have back oain.

STAY CLEAR if LGBTQ. Was told being queer was a mental disorder and caused blood work to come back abnormal. They refused to treat the patient despite the positive lab and medical tests for the reason of the patient being queer and causing their illness. Previously the whole family had been seen at this clinic (4 people) for past several years and they have done nothing to help. These people try to block people in need of accessing health care while they bill AB health and the patient to make money. When confronted with contradicting reports, they can't explain it and hang up on you or avoid you. They lack transparency and accountability. Was told by the last doctor that WCB won't even recognize them as providers so had to find a different clinic. Injections of the spine here worse than CDC. Clinic literally useless. Complaints to clinic fall on deaf ears.

I have been experiencing severe and worsening back pain for past year. Have tried many types of treatment but my experience at caleo has been exceptional. On time, efficient and very professional. They provided the most thorough explanation for my back pain and set up a treatment plan to start within one week. Special recognition to Marco Lebrasseur and to an exceptional physician Dr. El. Soumbasis. HIghly recommended. If you have back pain, this is the place to go.
