Calforex Currency Exchange - Chinook Centre Calgary

I exchange $500 CAD on November 11 BUT they only had $500 MXN notes ($35 CAD each). I requested smaller denominations for tips on my trip but they had NONE. They said come back in a week and try again. I did BUT this time they would only exchange $50 CAD for $700 MXN in $20 MXN bills
A bakery has lots of bread and this place should have more cash.
Two trips to them and two disappointments.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Very unprofessional. Talking about non retable work while serving customer! Cant count! Had to re count several times. Why do you hire such people that cant do normal customer service. Closed on me while in the middle of second transaction and had to ask to move to the next counter to finish it off. Dont ever go here! Low rate and just plain rude and makes you feel stupid.

Very efficient service. The exchange rate is much better than the bank and they had the currency I was looking for available rather than having to order it in. The store is quite small and easy to miss so I recommend using the electronic maps in the mall to find it. Will recommend to others.

Came here to purchase some Euros and pounds for the trip I had. Its a small store in Chinook mall and I had trouble finding the place and I had to call in a few times to get the exact location. The young girl that assisted was very friendly and helped me along very well. I did some exchange before with their downtown branch and It was my first time going to this store but I must say prefer this one by far.

I went in to this location today and received the best customer service I've seen an a long time! The girl that I was talking with answered all of my questions in a cheerful professional manner! I felt very welcomed and comfortable. I would highly recommend for anyone to come to the branch.

Service is always good and exchange rates are fair but HOLY MOLY is it ever sweltering in there.
Maybe it's to deter loitering or something, but it is absolutely brutal.

Best exchange rate I could find for USD and Mexican Peso. Better than all the big banks

I've used Calforex in the past to buy Australian & New Zealand dollars; mediocre to deal with on those cases, but options are limited in Calgary to buy AUD/NZD . - On my last visit I was there to ask if they still took French Francs. I was told “France has had the Euro for at least 20 years” (although it’s been 14 years, and therefore what?... I already knew that, hence my question), and then told, while he looked a 10 French Franc bill, “I don’t think that’s really money.” Disgraceful comment for a so-called Currency Exchange expert.
