As per Darren Bishop's post yesterday:
Hey All! As FB friends you will recall my post a couple weeks ago about the tragic loss of our friend Eric Olson. Eric was tragically killed in a motorcycle crash on August 8th at Sturgis bike rally. Eric left behind his wife Darlene and his 4 young girls. It was a very devastating loss for many. It is amazing to see the profound footprint this great man had on so many. He is greatly missed. I would like to announce a fundraising event... for Eric combined with their year-end party hosted by Calgary Harley-Davidson. Calgary Harley has very generously donated a bike for raffle with all proceeds from the raffle and other fundraising effects to go to his family. I will be picking up tickets tomorrow and they will be readily available for sale. Please help show your support by sharing this post and purchasing or helping sell some tickets. The bike will be raffled off at the September 15th party. Please show your support and join us on September 15th for the fundraiser event. It is always an amazing event and this year bringing a little more meaning. Please do not feel you need to be a rider to attend this event. This event is open to riders and anyone else from the general public. Let's show our support and come out for some food and a cocktail and listen to some great live music and raise a ton of money for the family. For raffle tickets please contact Calgary HarleyDavidson or reach out to myself and we will ensure you are able to purchase a ticket for the grand prize. Please email me at darrenbish32@gmail.com and I will direct you to purchase your raffle ticket. Thanks in advance for your time and support.

Went in bike browsing in February, dealt with Patrick in sales and he was excellent. Ended up buying a 2017 softail and its been excellent. The first service was easy as they came to pick it up for me and the bill was cheaper than quoted. Ive been back for accessories and clothing the ladies at the counter always friendly and helpful!!! Couldn't ask for any better service and people to deal with!!

User

These guys really stepped up to the plate and helped me through a challenging ordeal. Eric is the man, great team.

User

These guys really know their stuff. CHD Customs turned my vision into a reality. When every other shop said they couldn't do it or tried to change my mind about what i wanted the folks at Calgary Harley just said YES. From an idea to reality and in time for riding season they even went the extra mile and delivered my custom big wheel bagger out of province directly to my garage. For any of your motorcycle dreams go and see Trevor Madore, David DeNobrega or any of the other fine folks at Calgary Harley Davidson.

Over night stay at the hotel across the street. Woke up, pulled back the shades and saw Calgary Harley Davidson. Showered and dressed, ran across the street before the shuttle to the airport. The customer service was second to no one. I was allowed to walk through the shop, admired the two 2017 CVO Limiteds sitting in the show room and dreamed of those Milwaukee 8, 114ci power plants.

Quickly moved to motorclothes, selected my souvenir t-shirt, a couple of poker chips. And felt like family.

A great big shout out to the staff that opened the store to me, and hour before the 9am official opening.

Made my flight back to Florida, and enjoyed my Harley this morning.

Thank You Calgary Harley. I'll be back again.

User

Never set foot there before and right from the start they made my girlfriend and I feel welcome.

We were never pressured and in fact those of you that know me know how critical I can be of a business when it comes to how I am treated.

I am a man of questions...hard ones....and they answered every one with honesty and true effort..even after I had said I wasn't local and wasn't buying that day.

I will deal with them again. Because so far...no bullshit.

And that speaks volumes.

User

I'm treated like family when I go to the shop, always get great advice and fantastic service. Its my shop of choice....and the hugs are amazing. The pick up and delivery feature has made my life easier a number of times as I live 35K away and have a nuts travel schedule......but my CVO RG is always ready for adventures when promised. Thanks for doing what you do.

User

I will share today's little adventure.... I stopped at a road side turnout for a smoke and realized my headlight was out. Dang! I'd just put in a new bulb in yesterday. I made my way to the Harley Davidson of Calgary on Pagesus Dr and it turned out my plug in was melted.... Those guys were amazing they changed the plug in for me free of charge.... Way to go guys and thanks a bunch

I maybe buying my next bike in Calgary

I went to Calgary harley yesterday with a buddy , He was noticing a rattling/squeaking noise from the rear end of his 2009 Street glide and he wanted to have it looked at before his trip to Seattle on Friday, July 28th ( You're thinking good luck right ?? ) Not the case ! Trevor Madore gladly took a quick look at the bike and had a mechanic test ride it immediately ( sorry I don't know the mechanics name but he was excellent ) The mechanic said it felt serious enough that the bike should not be ridden anymore until it was fixed , He had two other colleagues come assess the situation , they noticed that 3 bolts from the pulley had backed out and the rear wheel had actual movement from left to right (Not good) They immediately booked the bike in for that day and it will be complete for today (24 hour turnaround time ) My buddy can now keep his plans to ride to Seattle on a safe road worthy motorcycle . Thanks to Trevor and all the mechanics that helped. Cheers !

User

I just want to pass my sincere gratitude to Calgary Harley-Davidson. Especially a big thank you to the Service Manager Eric and his great team especially one one his Mechanic Taylor AKA “Tay” for their exceptional professionalism while I was stranded 3,000 km from home.

While riding true Calgary on my way south to Los Angeles for my vacation, my 2014 CVO required major repairs. His entire team bent over backwards and were able to fixed my motorcycle on a Friday afternoon. They got it all repaired quickly and I was on my way for me to continued my vacation South of the USA border first thing Saturday morning.

I do not reside in Alberta and was treated just like one of their local clients, this was very impressive the way I was treated.

My ride works like new and will ride back in safely back to Ontario.

This was Service to none!

Thank you very much

Calgary Harley-Davidson you Rock!

Top notch service!

From meeting Troy at the bike show , to his understanding and caring due to a death in our family we knew we would be back to deal with him regardless of what we were going to do with our plans for bikes. Now almost a year later it only has gotten better. We are now building our second bike through you and would never go else where. All nothing but fantastic things to say about the entire business. From Troy feeling like family now, to Dave on the parts and upgrades to Dave in finance to Kris and Rob over in service. We feel like family now. Fantastic crew all around. We are very blessed to have you all in Calgary being the faces of the brand we all love. Thank you

User

Fantastic service, Awesome people. I had my Road King picked up and serviced and I was completely impressed with the service - honest and extremely fair. I was also blown away by Randy's attention to detail when he took my bike and not only cleaned it, but detailed it to a "Brand New" look. Beautiful job, Randy! Thanks a million!

I also bought a brand new 2015 Fat Boy from Calgary Harley-Davidson and I was so impressed with all that was done for me, and all they are still doing for me. Thanks everyone!

User

Awesome experience going into CHD! Trevor and the rest of the team were very professional and accommodating towards what I was looking for in a bike. Looking forward to bringing my new Street Bob home!

User

Always great service, very helpful and friendly. Bike pick up and delivery service is fantastic in the winter time.

User

Very friendly staff that had time to answer my questions about bikes I currently am not in the market for. Some dealerships can't be bothered if you're not in the market. Love the large selection of bikes in all sorts of colors. Apparel and clothing section could be much larger.

User

What a useless shop..

don't get me wrong the sales department knows how to sell a bike and are quite pleasant to deal with and if you're looking for accessories the people I dealt with were top notch.

Now the service department truly is a joke, my bike went down July 8, 2016 and I finally got it 100% complete two weeks ago-ish and believe me it was an absolute nightmare to get it completed correctly.

If this is the best your shop can do my suggestion would be to rename the shop "Calgary Harley Davison sales accessories and storage"

As you have shown me that you clearly cannot fix a person's bike right the first time or for that matter return a phone call.

This Mickey Mouse outfit will never see my money again.

User

Parts department customer service is pretty bad. Repeatedly no call backs, and little to no help at the desk. When I tried to talk to them about it I was hung up on.

Gasoline Alley in Red Deer calls me back right away every time! Much better in store service as well. Calgary HD should take some lessons

User

I’ve been a loyal customer ever since I bought(new) the bike in 2008. Always brought it to Harley-Davidson dealership for every service. Not a single issue ever. I have been bringing my bike to Calgary Harley for annual winter service – plus every other modifications, since I moved to Calgary 4 yrs ago (from Edmonton). I was quite satisfied with their service…up until recently (April-2018). Long story short, they called to tell me that my Power Commander was “burned out”, then I said to them ‘okay, just do the usual winterization and put everything back for me, and I’ll replace my own with the V&H Fuelpak’. When I was about to install the V&H Fuelpak, I noticed my Power Commander was missing and the connector was plugged with rubber plug. Of course, I called to inquired, so I spoke with Eric (service dept).

[The reason I wanted the unit back was because I contacted the people from Dynojet and they suggested to ship the unit to them, and if it was manufacture defect then they will replace a new one for me with just the shipping charge, and if, for some reasons, I had “burned” unit, they will sell me at a discount cost]

Anyway, Eric said that “it’s been 5 months and nothing noted in my documents that the Power Commander had been taken off the bike…and, that it could be sitting at the bottom of one of the trash-pallets among hundreds and thousands of other junks”. The conversations went back and forth. Even offered me $150 store credit. Then, I said to him ‘have a look and see if you can locate it, and I’ll talk to you a week from now’.

Moreover, I never breathed a word about ‘throwing away that “burned out” unit. You don’t just simply chuck things away without your customer’s consent/knowledge.

The unit was mine – married to my bike. I have absolutely no desire to false-claim so that I can gain John’s, Dick’s or Harry’s unit…nor was I looking to beg for money. It is about principle. I'm going to leave it at that…I am disappointed.

I contacted them 2 months before my trip from North Carolina to Alaska to book service and was told I didn’t need A reservation as travelers always got priority. Making a long story short - i phoned this morning from the Watertom border crossing location and they begrudgingly told me they were really busy but if I showed up they would prioritize me. When I showed up the guy basically told me it would be a few days - I certainly didn’t want to stay in Calgary that long on my way to Alaska. The harley dealers in Gasoline Alley and Edmonton were more than happy to adjust their schedules to accommodate me and will get a much better review.
