In my experience, i have found that they employ very knowledgeable and personable staff who strive to create an enjoyable buying experience. I've witnessed them successfully tailor to the needs of all types of lighting projects, ranging from small commercial outfits to full-scale commercial/industrial lighting installations and LED retrofits. Their products have repeatedly exceeded my expectations, proving they only use the highest quality of manufacturers, with a prompt and well-informed rate of product procurement. This was a terrible place to work. The company is failing and held together by duct tape. The owners had to sell most of it because they ran it into the ground. They told us a company from Ohio had delayed shipments due to some sort of audit, but it turned out CLP just hadn't paid them in a long time and we were cut off. Even the Culligan man was upset over non-payment. I'm not joking.

Pricing is all random and based on whims, varying wildly from client to client. If you buy lights here, ask about your pricing. Compare it to other customers who buy here if possible. You're probably being ripped off.

Don't even consider working here. I was paid my commission on time once in two years. Once. The rest of the time I had to ask for it. At the end they stole my commission for two sales I got by myself, and had to drive out of town to get. It was unbelievable.

They micromanage you to a ludicrous degree too. They wanted me to constantly be recording in a log what I was doing every 15 minutes of the day. Yes, you read that right. When I was able to do it, they said that wasn't good enough, and I had to record what I was doing in real time. I wish I was making this up.

Management lucked into some great salespeople and lost them all due to mistreatment and incompetence. I had a 45-minute conversation with a very experienced salesman who was considering working here after I'd left. I strongly recommended against it. He took the job anyway. He quit on his second day.

Whether you're looking for a place to work, or just somewhere to buy light bulbs, do yourself a favour and look elsewhere. There are a lot of options out there. There's no reason to support substandard human beings.

I use them for work, and staff are always really pleasant and helpful. Everything I need is always in stock. So glad to have them!
