Calgary West Campground

Awful. As read from another review. "Packed in like sardines." Worst camping experience. Don't go. Drive hours before ever considering. Please. Ugh and that pool, I'm sorry children who's parents don't vomit at mere though of.

We had a trailer storage spot here for our tent trailer. Our spot had very deep ruts in the mud where we had to park our unit. It was convenient to our home and the price was good, but we have since opted to start storing in our backyard instead.

We stayed here for 3 nights in September. Close to the city. Sites weren't too roomy but was fine for us. Bathrooms were very clean. Quiet. Would stay here again.

Large spaces terraced up a hill, so you get some nice views. A little noise from the freeway, but not bad. The layout of each site is unusual, electricity and water are on opposite sides so our water hose wouldn't reach. The staff is efficient but not too friendly. Overall however, we'll stay here again.

This is our second stay at this campground...once before in July 2015. And now in July 2017....the campground playground is hardly a playground. A couple of swings and a slide. The advertised "heated" pool is COLD!!! And I mean COLD. We just spent 4 days at another campground with a heated pool and my kids would spend hours in the pool...in this pool you can only stay in for 15-20 min and they are shivering. I asked to have the temperature turned up a degree or two and was told they keep it at 79' ....which is 2-3 degrees colder than most public pools. I would not recommend booking here if the pool and playground is what you are wanting to enjoy.

Worst campground ever, grass was not cut for weeks, bathrooms were disgusting.
$48 a night way over priced.
Don't stay here if you can help it

Nice place to stop, good facilities as well as parks and trails. 4 stars just because it's not like "real" camping, very sparse basic lots and no fires allowed.

The staff were awesome and super friendly! No time limits on free showers which was soo nice! There is also a wifi lounge you can charge all your devices at. Everyone at the campground was really friendly and neighborly. I definitely enjoyed my stay, the only negative thing would be that the campsites are on a huge hill which was slightly sketchy being in a tent trailer. Would reccomend!

Really nice campground, with a great location. Got to enjoy coyotes howling during the night, a real taste of the foothills. It's unfortunate though that they only have pool hours in the afternoon, as we arrived too late to enjoy the pool upon arrival, and since it doesn't open in the morning, we couldn't use it the next morning before check out time.
