Camp Heath, Hope & Happiness (Camp He Ho Ha)

For nearly 60 years Camp Health, Hope & Happiness has been providing week-long adapted summer camps to people of all ages living with all types and degrees of disability. The facility, located 80 kilometers west of Edmonton on Lake Isle, is fully modern and barrier-free. Each year, more than 730 children, youth, adults, and seniors with disabilities, come from communities small and large across Alberta to experience our fully inclusive recreational summer camp programs in a safe and supportive environment. Camp He Ho Ha is the only facility of its kind in Northern /Central Alberta that does not discriminate on the basis or type of disability. With a 3: 1 camper-to-counselor ratio and a fully-equipped on-site medical center staffed 24 /7, participants with profound disabilities or complex medical conditions – many of whom would be denied a camping experience elsewhere – can enjoy independence, engage in positive social interactions and achieve success.
