Never been so insulted in my life. My boyfriend and I are in our early 20's, we came in to return a can of spray paint because we needed to get wall paint instead for a school project of mine. Being in university we both had our laptops in our backpacks so we brought them into the store with us. After doing the return the customer service advisor (who was also on her cellphone before we approached) told us we had to leave our backpacks behind the counter. Never heard of a department store asking this of people, 100% age discrimination. When we told the "manager" we didn't feel comfortable leaving our personal property in the hands of a store he was extremely condescending and rude. We then had to go out of our way to Home Depot instead to get the paint we needed, where we were greeted kindly and not ambushed upon entering. The advisor in the paint section even offered to darken the tint of a mistint paint so we could get the colour we needed for cheaper. Being in interior design I buy a lot of hardware and craft supplies, and I'm never spending another dime at any Canadian Tire no matter what. Don't expect to be treated with decency here if you're under the age of 30, god forbid if you use a backpack daily. No one deserves to feel this way from simply entering a store, absolutely ruined our day.

Service was slow, over 8 hours to get tires changed and an oil change. prices were outrageous (120$ for an oil change), and they didn't call me to ask if it was ok to replace my rear brake lights - which they then charged an additional 100$ for - and refused to give me a refund on th labor that i did not approve.
On the plus side, the tires they suggested to me are working great in the winter weather.

One big star for the auto parts department. When asked about the sale options on shocks for a 2008 ford escape, was given the big business attitude response, "we don't have time to discuss all different part options, were busy now". The one star, is for the your welcome sir, after I said thank you. Although, I found afterward, that Part Source, had all the parts I needed. Yes, I realize they are busy, but I have doubted ever taking a vehicle there after the last two experiences talking to the staff. I'm sure this post is not applicable to everyone's experience at this location, but I have had plenty better at different Canadian tires.

Good selection and decent pricing, but when trying to get assistance in replacing my car battery, the associate at the nearby desk had to call three times for someone to come help us. When he finally did arrive, he wasn't terribly friendly and was a bit abrasive. I'll definitely shop here again, but I'll be prepared for poor service when getting help with my car.

I just had a dealing with the southland location, regarding trying to find a product that was out of stock and wanted to take the time to acknowledge the manager Miranda. She was excellent at dealing with my inquiry, went above and beyond and made my day. She is exceptional - I normally don't write reviews but wow... this one was warrented. You've earned my business Miranda. Thank you.

I forgot about the customer service quality in the auto-parts department until I went there today. I asked if I could get someone to look up a part. They looked up, said they have one in quantity and will go grab it. 5 minutes later, the gentlemen comes back and says he can't find it.

Cool, I understand. Thing happen. It's what happened next that appalled me.

Instead of offering me to order one in, I had to ask if that was possible. I was told it was. I asked for a timeline. I was answered with, "I don't know. I don't know where I could get one from and how long would it take."

I simply asked, well, could we give it a try? Do you think it could be here by Friday morning?

"I don't know... here, go here. Thank you and have a nice day."

I just feel like the times I have been there, their customer care or awareness is not important. You must go to the desk and ask for help. And it seems like a chore when they have to help. On top of that, they try to belittle one with common sense questions or questions about the auto mechanic industry that most people wouldn't know.

I don't know if it's the older generation, but it seems like the older people working in that department need some training... or maybe retire.

Everything else I have experienced in the store has been good, but this is about that area.

I've gone to this particular CT many times, mostly for car parts. They seem to have more stock than other stores around me. Except that every parts person I've dealt with have been extremely arrogant and condescending. 4 different people. I've never had this issue at other stores. Bad advice a few times, and over the top attitude every time. Will try to never return to this particular store. First review I ever write on any store, that's how special I think the customer service has been.

Had an inspection done on my vehicle on a Saturday. My vehicle needed alot of work in order to pass the inspection, they all worked effortlessly to get everything done for me that same day. Lloyd, Henry and Kevin were absolutely fabulous in the Service Department.
I have NEVER had such a great experience with Canadian Tire auto service in my life. GREAT JOB GUYS AND THANK YOU AGAIN !!!

Wow went into to talk to customer service and they would not let me even walk into the store with a back pack. Customer service is right at the door and no products are near. They offer to leave your bag at the door but with my Nintendo switch in it that was not happening. Why do you think I did not leave it in the car. Definitely a lost sale and customer. If they can't trust me with a bag how can I trust that they won't take something of mine and deny it . Especially when it is something in high demand and they only have teens working for them.

It's nice to know that you are automatically guilty when they find out they have no right to search a bag when leaving. They also have no sign posted on the door to say no bags. Just an older short man that yells at you. Considering I am over 30 it is shocking this happened.

Don't support a place that disrespects it customers by making them all automatically guilty. Other Canadian tires seem more welcoming.

I had recently bought an item from this ct location and when I got home I had found that the product was missing a piece. I paid cash but had missed placed the recipet and thought nothing of it as I bought it yesterday and thought they could look on the cameras to prove I wasn't lieing. I went to the customer service desk and was greated by a short rather large getelman he was extremely rude and rufused to help me so I asked if he could call over a manager. The housewares manager Danielle I believe her name was came over to try and help. If I may say I have never met a more rude, disrespectful nasty women in my life. She didn't listen to anything I had to say and dismissed my problem to go talk to the other managers at the entrance of the store. I will never go here ever Agian and I will be calling the head Canadian tire branch to complain about the customer service danielle gave me. She is quite frankly unsuitable to be a manager and would most likely thrive in a lower position.

Got my power steering pump installed, their "mechanic" couldn't figure out how to tighten the ring clamp to reattach the hose so it popped off next day left me stranded, with power steering fluid leaking all over the road. Had to fight with them to get a tow and they refused to help me anymore and told me the toe was all I get for help. Would not reccomend and will not be coming back

This is hands down the best Canadian Tire I have ever dealt with! 5 stars in all areas of the business. General Manager Cory Free and his staff are top notch!
