The automotive department displayed gross incompetence, created a safety hazard, and failed to return my vehicle to it's proper working condition.
I had the misfortune of having my vehicle's fuel pump fail on a holiday weekend, and unfortunately, Canadian Tire was the closest open shop at the time.
They replaced the fuel pump, but failed to do so correctly.
Canadian Tire created a significant safety hazard with my vehicle, as they did not properly seal the fuel pump, so as a result my vehicle was returned to me leaking fuel.
The fuel pump they used was also either improperly installed, or of not the correct type, as my vehicle had difficulty with starting after Canadian Tire had worked on it.
I ended up needing to take my vehicle to a different shop, first to determine what Canadian Tire had done wrong, then to fix their errors and finally get my vehicle back to proper working condition.
I would advise anyone considering taking their vehicle to Canadian Tire to avoid doing so.
Allowing Canadian Tire to work on your vehicle could prove to be a harmful and quite costly error.

Arrived at the store at 5:30pm with my son and my wife, checked online to see store hours where 8am to 8pm on the front door a sign posted 6pm. I thought to myself well we have 15 mins to grab what we need and go my wife was grabbing Christmas bulbs for the tree and my son being two wondered into the make shift toy section they have set up close to the front door. At 5:55 a short haired older lady working at the store stopped my wife and rudely asked her why she was moving away from the cash and not proceeding to buy what she had in her hand. I bit my toungue and we headed out of the store. After we placed what we had in our hands back on the shelf. Very disappointed!

The staff were nice and accomodating, but the organization was none existent. I took my bike in during the summer, waited without a word for 3-4 months, and finally went in and took it back without any work done to it.

The younger guys in the automotive department are jerks. They treat the customers like rotten cucumbers. I personally work in the same trade and i never treat customers like that. One day my girlfriend's car was shaking ALOT and we were in a rush to fix it and we took in here. They decided to balance one of the rims. When we got the car back we found a motherload of weights on the rim. We decided to test it out and we almost died. It was actually worse somehow. We took it to another shop and turns out the rim didn't need balancing, there was actually a flat spot in the tire. They definitely need to improve and Canadian Tire is increasingly becoming know for poor service.

Very helpful. Driving an hour to get to the store so I had called to ask about a sale item ahead of time; they were able to have it waiting for me at customer service desk.

Bought a kid mountain bike here on discount. Took it back for tuning. Customer service is poor. They don’t call when the bike is ready. When I was at the shop to inquiry the status, they can’t find my service order. Took over 45 mins to resolve and pickup the bike - they need to find it!

I had a unexpected two flats on my trailer.... 3 kids under age 8..... They went above and beyond to get us back on the road. Awesome staff!!

Automotive department has helped us out quite a few times. Very knowledgeable and they were able to get us parts for a fairly uncommon vehicle very promptly!
Thanks guys!!

Automotive department is terrible. Thermostat housing on my vehicle ruptured, and because it was a Friday I had it taken to CT. I should have had it taken to my regular garage. CT replaced the housing, but their inadequate work meant that within a month, I was experiencing coolant leaks...from the thermostat housing. Use them only if you want to pay for the same work twice.

Well equipped store. They need to work more in customer service. If you require that customer to be technically savvy and expert when shopping at your store, then I suggest you to do customer screening prior accepting them within your store.
Careful: Do not forget that customer have a choice.

Excellent Firearms section, their ammo prices usually rival big outdoor stores like Cabelas, and they even have a decent selection of reloading components and tools. The older fellow at the outdoor counter is very friendly and knowledgeable

I wanted a key cut for a 1998 chevy pickup. They said the couldn't do it..... ummm you can't cut a key for the most popular truck on the face of the earth...?!?!?!!? I went somewhere else and they guy didn't even hesitate....
