I had my Mercedes ML500 battery replaced few months back from Canadian Tire Calgary Richmond store. Car started from there fine but from time to time it will not start then it will start without a boost after half hour or 40 minutes. I have sent my vehicle to Mercedes dealer to check it out . They said the battery is giving voltage warning all over call Canadian tire and see what they Can do. I called them at Canadian Tire, and spoke to somebody by name of Russ. they are the rudest people i have ever spoken to. It is not only that they are not willing to do anything but also calling me name that i want to have battery for free. This was
the worst experience I ever had at a shop who already got my money, gave me faulty battery and claiming that i want it for free. i had to give one star because there was nothing lower than that. This is the first time i am giving anybody a negative comments. Needless to say i am going to have my battery changed by the dealer and would not take my vehicle back to Canadian Tire even it is still under warranty. I do not trust them.

So lets see. Customer service people chatted with a manager and ignored me but they were friendly and helpful when they did help me, my problem was it was the manager who distracted them and he knew I was waiting. But that is a glowing review when you go the the automotive department. I went to a machine to pick the wheels I wanted it gave the option to send it to the service desk, so I did, epic fail. The service desk manager pointed out that the feature does not work and pointed to a sign saying so...I will come back to that in a minute. He told me that he cannot help me and that I need to got the parts people. I thanked him like a good and stupid Canadian went to parts. Who by the way actually sent me to service first when I told them I wanted to buy wheels. So i get back to the desk. Dude who sent me to service looks at me like I am imposing when I told him service sent me back. So I gave him the information to find the wheels and told him the price they are on for to help him find. EPIC FAIL. So I go back to the machine and pick the tires out again. This time I print a slip. Now there are two rims that are the same price. I picked the one they had stock on. I take the slip back to the desk and first off I had to point the part number on the slip out to them and the guy types in a number and tells me that the would have to order them in, I tell him that they show four in stock, he says that only Beacon hill has stock and I know that they do on a different tire, so I asked them to check the part number because I may have pressed the wrong button. EPIC FAIL again. Types in the same part number and tells me the same thing. I know that there are two part number. I know what their system show. I know what I want and know I will never enter that dump again. Take and extra step for the customer because remember, for every customer that bitches there are 20 that just didn't come back. I am not asking for special treatment, I am asking the parts person to find a product for me. I shouldn't have to push them to go the extra step. This place is a joke. Worst Canadian Tire in the City of Calgary and that is saying something because I have had some terrible experiences at CT but nothing like this.

Left my wheels there for three days for winter tire installation. They never did it. I was so angry I went & picked them up and took them somewhere else. Auto service centre is overworked, and apparently underpaid, clearly were not upset to see me leave. Terrible customer service. If you're just looking for camping supplies or Christmas lights, then fine. But I'll never attempt to buy tires there again.

They deleted my review so I'm just going to put this up once again.

The employees don't know what they are doing, they all disappear when you need help. I saw 5 employees from the home and hardware section see a customer in need of assistance and go hide upstairs till closing. Sports department most of the packaging has already been opened and some of the merchandise is actually placed in plastic zip lock bags. Most of the items I buy here are missing half of the content and are not refundable!

I put my spare tire on my truck today because I got a flat. When I called them to see when they would be able to look at the tire the guy on the phone was really rude, and said that maybe they could get it Dec 23 (today is Nov 21). Based on the reviews I have already read I can't imagine they are that busy, so I wonder what the deal is(?) Regardless it is obvious they do not value their customer's business.

Canadian Tire is an institution.

With Canadian Tire, we all know there some universal truths:
1)Quality of some things is suspect
2)Prices are good, only when things are on sale (tools for example)
3)You can depend on Canadian Tire staff to be consistently average to poor in areas such as customer service, attentiveness, knowledge of their store, inventory management, etc.... You know, the basics!

If you know this going in, you'll have a great experience here. I for one, cannot avoid coming here at Christmas to buy more lights for my house, for christmas gifts, for lawn care materials in the spring, and for general lack of service from the staff when I come looking to either return something, or for a spare part for an item.

I wouldn't want it any other way.

The Customer Service had long line one poor fella working alone. Customer Care had nobody at it but there was an attendant doing nothing. You would think he would take the overflow or assist his colleague.

This is really the Crappiest Crappy Tire store I have ever been in. The workers all seem to hide or leave the area when you approach, they have little knowledge on anything, and love to say "Thats not in my department - go find a guy in a different color shirt". I even had the kid at the parts counter asking me if my company is hiring. A little handicapped man at the same counter seemed to be doing all the physical work while trying to help everyone, while the other sales guys were happy to wander off with any female customers, never to return. Found that same kid again asking another customer if his company is hiring. Manager seemed to be more of a bully to the kids who did work there (if you can find anyone who works there), and another manager who looks to spend most of his time suntanning instead of managing the store. A truly futile experience overall.

Decent product selection and good prices when on sale. I won't say the staff is rude, as there are some employees there that are quite friendly, especially the greeter, and customer service lady. Last night however, I had to basically stop 3 employees that were briskly trying to avoid any human contact. Each directed me to another employee who seemed more impatient to get rid of me than the other, and none had any clue where the product, which was on the first page of the flyer, was. They all just said, I have no clue, that's not my department. The 3rd guy, was the manager and he had the same bs excuse. Now, I realize it's a big store, and there are a lot of products, but if you work in a store day in and day out, you should have at least a clue where to look, no matter what department you are in that day. Finally I was sent to someone who knew where it was, and I got the exact, "why are you wasting my time" attitude. This Canadian tire is the one I exclusively go to, but I almost always know what I need, and where it is. It seems a lot of people experience this poor service, and it is a shame, since I really like the store and location. Maybe some upper managers will see all the negative reviews, and tweak a thing or two.

Standard Canadian Tire products, no problem there, but every time I've visited, I've been accosted by teenagers trying to push the store credit card. When I actually went to sign up ($50 is $50), I was shepherds past actually reading any of the terms, which immediately set off a dozen red flags for me. Come for the hardware, leave quick to avoid the hustlers.

This store has little to zero management skills phoned everyday for a week to have a simple BBQ assembled from the store Manager Steve to the other minnions that call crappy tire home they are unable to solve this complex problem dealing with the Mötley crew there is like explaining long division to preschoolers they passed me through to the so called service department lol ....nice try it's like the 3 stooges and Mr Magoo running a multi billion dollar company

Your auto repair service is nothing short of abhorrent. You misdiagnosed the problem causing the car to die not once but three times and repeatedly fixed the wrong thing despite being told what the issue was.

I'm astounded that you would have the audacity to let the car back out on the road in the same dangerous condition that it was brought to you. Do you not realize that we are depending on you for our own safety?

You have cost a thousand dollars and done absolutely nothing but waste time and money. You even refused to give back the old parts after replacing them so we can't verify it actually needed replacing. We told you it's probably the alternator and your "tests" show it was fine but guess what it turned out to be?! THE ALTERNATOR. So maybe that's why the car died again today in heavy traffic. Wow! 3 days in a row!

One fuel pump, one battery and $1000 later, I'm never coming back to you for business and filing a consumer complaint to Service Alberta.

You should be ashamed of your clown shop auto department and I hope you get shut down. You guys are thoroughly incompetent and your business is cancerous.

Ryan Morgan in sports was super helpful! Since I moved to Calgary in January, it's been hard making friends since I'm the only mexican in Canada. But when I walked into this CT one day. I knew I made a friend. This guy is the most racially unbiased person I have ever met.
