Quite a few younger people who seem to be pissed off that they actually have to work for money. But the older staff is very friendly and seem to actually want to help. Ken at the parts desk is an awesome guy. So as long as you avoid the younger staff this place is great

Got my winter tires installed on my GL 450 this evening and I have to say the service was excellent - Alex the manager has been super amazing and I truly appreciate his help in getting such a quick turn around - brilliant service as always ...

I spend alot of money here and the store floor staff are great. However today I took my car to get my winters put on. I showed up early and the guy at the front told me minimum 4 hours, I was going to wait but decided to call someone at work to get me. It
is now 1.5 hrs later and they called me basically done the work. They also pulled my car in before I even got picked up and it has a very distinct exhaust on it, the guy who pulled it in then continued to red line my car 2 or 3 times and the front desk guy just says "That's a real nice sounding exhaust you have." Completely unprofessional. So the front desk guy called to tell me there is a tear in my sidewall and I need a new tire. I asked how it happened since I used to work for fountain tire for years and do my own tires each season for a few years now and know I didn't do it. So I called the store manager and explained the situation, including the revving incident, and he said he'd check on it and when he called me back he said that they didn't do it and it had to be me that did. Then recommended I buy 1 new tire at full price plus pay for the 4 change overs. Something I usually do for free and properly, went from costing 150 to almost 400 just like that and zero accommodation from there end. I told them install the 3 winters and put my all season back on and I'll deal with it myself. That what I get for settling with a sub par tire center due to being away alot this year for work and canadian tire being the only place I could get in before next week.

Enjoy the store overall good value..friendly staff... Good selection.. Auto Service. not so much. Not very friendly or accommodating and at times product and service knowledge is poor.

Canadian Tire usually has decent prices. Sometimes they have sales that end up being the best price around. Usually have lots of stock so you can get what you come in for. Sometimes it can be hard to find staff to help you if needed.

Excellent for pond plants. This place brings them in first every year (and I checked dozens of stores for several years now).
Decent selection, although it is just the basics. However, knowing I can go here and RELIABLY find water lettuce or water lilies, or other marginals is a relief.
Their selection of annual flower is limited, but their prices are good. They always have quite a few shrubs and I always make sure I go there in July/August once everything goes on 50% off.
I usually only go into the garden center and hte few staff I have spoken to have always been kind and in a good mood.

On Saturday, April 1, 2017 I decided to do some shopping at Canadian Tire in St. Albert. I needed some help finding some mud flap screws. I waited at the Parts Department and when I saw an employee I asked for help. The employee screamed “GO TO THE SERVICE DESK” I proceeded to the service desk where another employee helped me. While the employee rang up my purchase of one key and my mud flap screws I thanked him for his customer service. When I saw the RUDE employee I said you are a lot nicer than him. I never want to be served by him. The RUDE employee then proceeded to leave the counter and go to the back. I wish I could say this was the end, but I decided to make to continue shopping. I purchased a spin mop, glue gun and glue sticks. When this purchase was being rung up I even showed them the inside of the bag that had the house key and mud flap screws. I proceeded to my car with close to $70.00 in merchandise loaded it up and got into the driver seat when I realized I could not back out. Why??? The RUDE employee had called the RCMP on me. The officer never left his crusier. It took him 5 minutes to back up so I could get out. I decided to watch where he went which was to the service department. I decided to park my car and return my purchases. When I was asked by the Customer Service Rep. employee not once did she offer to call the manager to rectify this. She also forgot to refund my key so I had to return which was when I asked to speak to the manager. The manager who was on had no idea that the RCMP were called. She looked into it and said “The RCMP was here because of an incident at the service area.” I told her what happened and she did not once try to rectify the situation or call the employee. This experience was embarrassing and I was totally shocked to find out that MANAGEMENT HAS NOT CONTROL OVER THEIR STAFF. 911 is for EMERGENCIES not to call when a customer hurts your feelings.

Took my car in because I had an exhaust leak at the header but didn't know if it was the gasket or some loose bolts or a cracked header. They said they would look into it and find out where it's coming from. 5 hours go by and no word from them, so I called and they said my vehicle was done and I can pick it up. I go pick it up and all they can tell me is that I have an exhaust leak at the header ... which I already knew. So I asked to speak to the mechanic and he said the same thing and that he thinks it's the gasket ... So I asked how much it would be to get it fixed and they said "we don't do those kinds of repairs" ... Which makes no sense but okay, it would have been nice to tell me that before you went ahead and "looked at it". So basically I paid $160 for them to tell me something I already know and that they can't do anything about it. That will be the last time I bother taking my vehicle there. Big waste of time and money.
