The Canmore Folk Music Society is dedicated to bringing folk music to the residents and visitors of the beautiful Rocky Mountains in Canmore, Alberta through a relaxed community and family-friendly environment. The longest running folk music festival in Alberta, the Canmore Folk Music Festival adheres to a philosophy and legacy of folk, world, blues and roots music. Since its inception in 1978, the festival has attracted up to 21, 000 music fans annually from across Southern Alberta, Western Canada, and the Northwestern United States.

This is always my favourite weekend of the summer.
The best. Safe, great performers, excellent food, accessible. 40 years strong. Local community ambience, beautiful scenery.
One I of my favourite festivals with some of the best music!
My first time there. Loved it. Will definitely return when possible.
Just fabulous! Wonderful organizers, crew, volunteers- great music- stunning scenery
It was a wonderful experience. The town, the festival, the mountains...perfect. Great volunteers, music and food. It was definitely worth the trip from Ontario to meet old and new friends. Xx
If you haven't attended the Canmore Folk Festival, my only question is why the heck not? It's a cacophony of sights, sounds, food, crafts and community - all cradled by in the arms of indescribably jaw dropping scenery.
Seriously it's a playground of paradise for music lovers from 2 to 102 so get your tickets now before it sells out!
Great music, great people and great food. It's always nice to see old friends and make new ones too.
Favourite family friendly destination. We enjoy musical performers who range in genre from singer/songwriter to blues, rockabilly, jazz and folk. Nice selection of food vendors with multicultural choices such as Indian and Greek food among others.
Can't wait. This will be my 2nd annual opportunity to volunteer.

A wonderful music and cultural outdoor experience. Going again this year.
I spend one day each year at the Canmore Folk Festival. It is casual, great artists and the scenery is spectacular! Also, it is more affordable than the Festival in Calgary which is a reason why I go to the Canmore Festival every year.
