I sent them an email at 10 pm on a Sunday night and they actually got back to me within 5 minutes! I know that’s probably not standard practice, but I was so very impressed! I’ve also been there and they’re very friendly and work quickly. I am pretty happy with this place.

I have been to this location many times and I find the staff to be very friendly and very helpful.

I also find them very knowledgeable in the motor vehicle regulations.

At every visit I have made to this registries office I did not have to wait long and have always been greeted with a smile and a friendly hello.

I had great service today, the staff were friendly and gave me great service.it was so busy in there and they all were doing such a great job I thought.the examiner for my road test was very fair. Great Service, fast and friendly staff, came in from out of province to buy a vehicle and the staff guided me through the paperwork and set me up with proper insurance to get home to BC. Highly recommend doing business with them as they have the experience, knowledge and are more then willing to help with all the questions and concerns I had with my transaction.

The people that work at the registry are very kind and quick. However I'm not recommending going here for a road test. The guy conducting the test will fail you first time no matter what. He also told me to pay for another road test and he would pass me.

Customer service is excellent except one, theres no way im recommending this registry for taking a class 5 road test, that fucking examiner taking so much money already to the people, he has no consideration, he has no mercy, his strictly beyond already, he will failed you even until 10X even you did good already he will find a way to failed you ... most of my friends and friends of my friends failed to him 5X. I did my road test to him 3X and i passed because in the second time i fought my right, he failed me because i stop in a yield sign if i didnt stop i might be dead right now because theres a car driving straight so fast.... this examiner guy need to stop taking money to us!!!

What took me 15 minutes to do at KVP Oliver Square Registry took me 3 visits over a period of 4 months at Capilano Registry.



In October I moved back to Edmonton from Australia, and went to the registry to get my Victorian Licence switched over to an Alberta one. The staff were rude and disinterested, acting like they were doing me a huge favour by talking to me. This one lady said that I needed a complete drivers history report for them to switch over the licences.



So I ordered a report from the Registry of Victoria, which I had to pay $25 AU to get, and it took many weeks for it to come in the mail. When it finally got here yesterday, I was relieved.



So today I went to the registry to get it all done. They were supposed to be open at 10, but no workers showed up until 10:05 to let me and a line of people in. This wasn't a big deal to me though, life happens and sometimes people are late. I go to talk to the lady and pull out all my paperwork; she tells me that I need my passport for this to to be completed. I was frustrated, but I understand that policy is policy, so I drove home and picked up my passport and came back an hour later at 11.



This time I was sent to talk to another lady, who had an open look of disgust as I walked towards her. She was in training, so she asked another worker to come over and look at my paperwork. She was extremely rude and accusatory, and accused me of bringing in a fraudulent report, stating that Victoria and Vic Roads "doesn't exist" and that "this isn't a Complete drivers history report". I was extremely frustrated now, and kept telling them this was the exact report I was told to order by workers at the Capilano registry. She nodded, not making eye contact, and we continued. I was then told that my passport would not work (even though it is not expired), and was told I needed mail with my address on it. I showed her the registry report that had my address on it, and told her that just an hour ago I was told I only needed my passport. I have an online bank and they do not accept printed statements either. At this point all the workers and all the customers are standing around watching me, as this woman gaslights me and humiliates me in front of everyone by saying that I was never told to bring a passport, and only a mailed bank statement. At this point I am tired of defending myself just to be gas lighted in front of everyone, so I leave saying I am going to KVP Oliver Square Registry where they will do it for me instead.



So I drive over to KVP Oliver Square Registry and I am greeted warmly with smiles as soon as I walk in and I am helped promptly. The lady helping me there says it's no problem, lets me use one of their computers to print out a pay stub, and then tells me that I never needed to order a Complete Driver's History Report, because my Victorian Licence is still valid. Capilano Registry lied to me, which cost me $25 AU which ended up being $30 CD for something I didn't need. I walked out satisfied, and with my new Albertan drivers licence.



Capilano Registry wasted my time, money, and humiliated me in front of a room full of customers. If I had to take a guess I'd say that the horrendous employee attitude at this location is probably a combination of an unhealthy work environment and cheap management. I do not think they will take any steps to reimburse me for the money I had to pay as a result of receiving false information, nor will I receive an apology. The atmosphere here is that no one cares, so it is safe to say I will never be doing business here ever again.



I implore all of you reading this to make the drive to KVP Oliver Square Registry, which has happy employees who will try to make your life easier, not harder.

This place should be shut down by the Licensing Board. They are totally untrustworthy and should be investigated. When my son was taking his drivers test he was told to turn right out of the parking lot and at the last second the examiner told him to turn left. When he turned left he was deducted points. The examiner consistently did this throughout the test and my son eventually failed and was frustrated. My mistake was going back again and having faith in the system. The same thing basically happened the next time except the test lasted less than 10 mins. They charge you 90.00 an exam. Why be a criminal when you can just keep talking peoples money and call yourself honest!!! STAY AWAY VERY DISHONEST

These guys are a bunch of dishonest crooks!!! They are going to take your money and there is nothing you can do about. My daughter went for 2 road tests at 90.00 per test. The first one, the lady was 45 mins late arrived totally and totally upset. She went back the next day and the instructor took her out for 10 mins and failed her again!! They are going to take your money !! I am going to lodge a complaint with Driver Programs and Licensing standards.

Parents beware!! If your kids need a road test don't come here. They will keep failing them and treat your kids awful. Believe me it happened to me twice! Cost me 180.00 for my kids to be totally disrespected.

Do yourself a favor and find another one. The employees have no idea what they are doing. They pass you around from one desk to another hoping to find someone knows what to do. If you question what is going on, they immediately have an attitude. I asked about a specific service charge, they couldn't explain it. Ended up leaving getting nothing done. Went to another registry, I was in and out within minutes. Staff were happy and provide great service. They also didn't charge a service fee for what I was doing.



Long story short. Keep driving till you find something else. Don't pay this place for horrible service and a shit attitude. Hopefully they consider hiring some better staff and try implementing some training to their staff.
