I have taken my vehicle in for years of service at Southgate (now Capital) and have to say service is top notch, they are honest and will advise you of any additional work that will need to be done. All the staff are professional and friendly.

I thought they were Southgate Chevrolet? Had a little warranty work done, satisfied with every aspect.

I dropped off my car overnight and wrote specifically what I asked to be looked at which was a minor sweat on the oil pan and see why my backup camera was becoming distorted. They called my husband back to let us know that the car was finished the next afternoon. I was surprised to see that I was charged $32 and some cents for a cleaning that was done to my rear back up camera.I did not give them any permission to fix any repairs on my vehicle. I had previously taken it to jack carter
Chevrolet dealership and was not charged a diagnostic fee and it was covered in warranty. I had stated my case that they were supposed to call me to ask permission to clean the camera. I was told two different things such as I was originally charged $85.00 but she knocked it down to $32 for a diagnostic fee and then was told it was $85 for the cleaning of the camera. So needless to say I will never go back to that dealership again. The staff in the service pick up area and the service advisors are so disrespectful. She told me the service manager would call me the next day but no one called because I am sure they knew they were in the wrong. To this day I still have not received a call from them.

Super frustrated and disappointed with Southgate. I bought a Chevy Equinox in December 2015 from Clair, GREAT sales guy. When I First turned on the AC in MAY 2016 there was a horrific pungent foul smell coming from it, and brought the car in for service, and it had to come back 3 times before "finding a filter full of seeds" after being told "this is a normal smell"... no it is not a normal smell, your AC should not make you or your passengers want to vomit. This SMELL STILL has not been corrected , it is now almost the end of 2017. The issue seems to be passed off, and I am consistently told " No one in the service department can smell anything" or "they can not find anything" , but anyone friends, family, co-workers get in my car they can smell it. Took car to another NON GM dealership to see what I could do for a trade to a different vehicle, I was offered NOTHING!! as the sales person could smell the odor and questioned me to why the problem had not been fixed, as the car was still under warranty. So NO , do not take your vehicle to Southgate for service, as they do not seem to have the ability to fix issues that may arise.
The service representative Brian however has always been helpful and upfront with anything that might need to be done as an extra for service appointments for regular scheduled maintenance, and really takes care of his customers, he deserves a raise and commendation his work and attention to detail for trying to get an issue solved.

I needed a new car after car accident in short time. Overall experience from first contact was great, the most what I appreciate non-aggressive sale approach from Craig Heuchert and other Sales associates. I got car that meet my needs, and enjoying the rides.

I was told at another dealership that clunking noises in my suspension weren't covered on the extended warranty coverage I had purchased. Also told they would take an hour @ 130$ to diagnose and would have to pay for any parts and additional labour the problem took to fix. Wen't here for the parts to do it myself. Spoke with Brian in service and not only were the repairs covered, he found A RECALL on my vehicle that needed to be done right away. They had my vehicle fixed in 2 hours. Would highly recommend Brian in service. Thanks guys! I'll be back!!

Outstanding service from all departments! My vehicle starting having major issues before the long weekend. I pulled in just before they were closing. Brian gladly took in my vehicle and made sure everything would be taken care of. I was driven home and provided a rental within the hour. Marlene at reception was very friendly and welcoming. She told me exactly where to go and who to talk to.

Truly a great team, and great experience!

Southgate impressed me with friendly staff and great service. I had initially gone to Shaw for what was expected to be a warranty problem regarding a leak in the transfer case and was flatly told that my "warranty had expired yesterday," and I would be fully responsible for any repairs. Janece, (assistant Shaw service manager), flatly told me that I could pay $160 for a diagnosis which I knew would take less than 5 minutes to spot the obvious leak point.
Since I'm not a big fan of throwing money away, I contacted Southgate Chevrolet. They offered to do a diagnosis for less than half of what Shaw offered. I asked to get a full service check with an oil change thrown in, and they still charged way less. THE BEST NEWS WAS WHEN I WAS TOLD "No problem, it is obvious that this was leaking well before warranty expired a day ago... it will get fixed under warranty."
Not only did I save a pile of cash, I was totally impressed at how the atmosphere around Southgate had employees who were much happier at their jobs and were far friendlier as well as helpful when compared to Shaw.
