To start I started the negation on a truck. Only to find after coming to an agreement that that truck was already sold to someone else. I ended up buying a different used Dodge Ram 1500. When I went to register the vehicle I was informed that it was registered out of province and required an inspection. I was not informed at time of purchase of this. So I drove across the city to get it Inspected. They quickly apologized and gave me a loner car. They said they would inspect the truck and detail it since it wasn’t detailed when I purchased it. I come back the next day when they called me and I even asked if the detailing was done. When I arrived the truck had not been detailed and I had to wait for another two hours. I feel like I was not well Informed about the sale and when they had the chance to make up there errors instead they wasted my time more.

Service department has always been great. I regularly take my Jeep here for its oil changes through the quick lube lane and have always been happy.
The #1 reason I come here is because they have a nice waiting room and I have 2 kids. The kids love playing on the climbing/slide structure while we wait. Today we were reprimanded by a rude salesmen for being too loud. First of all, if you are going to install a play space for kids you are going to have kids play in it. If you do not want the noise to travel to other areas of the dealership then you should probably put it in a separate room. Also the kids were not even being loud, they were taking to each other within the structure and if you have even been inside a plastic tube you will understand that it echos. If you would like to keep kids from not talking and playing then you should probably have installed a quieter toy for them to play with.
I’m very disappointed with this interaction and sadly will probably not be attending this location again due to it.

I had an oil change service on my Jeep Wrangler at Capital Dodge. When I picked up the vehicle after, I discovered the service tech had left their greasy work boot marks all over the top of my bumper from end to end where they used it as work step up platform. Obviously upset at the result of the service, I reported this to Clint Thompson, Capital's Service Manager who apologized; however it does not put aside the technician's poor regard for their customer's vehicle. I'm not going to be back Clint, just too frustrated over the experience. Also disappointed at the fact that I brought up a concern prior to the service about "Oil Sweat" from the back of the engine/oil pan of my still new Jeep (16,000 km on the odometer) and you did nothing except had taken notes. Clint you defaulted to "Chrysler Policy" and chose not to help stating that warranty would not cover until it's actually dripping in my driveway. I guess preventative maintenance and reliable workmanship is out of the question. You at least reassured me Clint that I have a lot of warranty left.

When there is a legitimate maintenance problem raised that you acknowledged was there...just make it right for the customer. This is service 101. You stating that you would place a note on the vehicle's file is not good enough nor does it provide a peace of mind for the road, and further proves that customer service is lacking at Capital Dodge.

I have purchased many vehicles over the years. Usually my experience is not that great. It tends to be a long night of haggling back and forth with a shady salesman. Not here. This place was excellent. We dealt with James. He was down to earth, straight forward with no BS. I felt no pressure and no regrets after my purchase. I can't say enough about this place. I would without hesitation buy here again and recommend others to contact James here. He was awesome. I'm glad I checked this place after leaving 3 other dealerships. Go on, check em out. You will not regret it. Thanks again James for making a difficult personal transition for my wife a seamless experience. She loves her new wheels with the personal touch from her dads old truck added on.

The service department was great! I have never been before and they were so helpful. The shuttle driver was so kind.
I will definitely be back to have my vehicle serviced there.

The only thing that was less great was some sleazy salesman that called me before my service appointment wanting to sell me a new car. On a private number! And when I didn't pick up the first time, he kept calling!
I will definitely NOT be buying a car there.

We purchased a new vehicle from Capital in March 2017. It starting from viewing their inventory online and they had numerous vehicles to choose from in the package that were looking for. After talking with one of the salesmen, we arranged a time to view the vehicle and had our credit pre-approved in an attempt to expedite the buying process. That was where the good buying experience ended.

Once we arrived on Saturday, it took about four hours to take the vehicle for a test drive and complete the paperwork for the purchase. We were left waiting for extended periods of time while the test drive vehicle was prepared and a value was put on our trade-in. The salesman was not helpful at all, he didn't walk us through any of the vehicles functions or features. Nonetheless, we decided to purchase the vehicle as we had already invested significant time with this dealership and were not prepared to spend another day going through the same process with two young children at our sides.

After going through the bill of sale we decided to purchase the extended warranty option. The finance manager detailed the costs of routine maintenance and the details of coverage under the extended warranty and maintenance package and clearly explained how the option made sense financially. She was even able to reduce the cost of the package by $1,000 for us.

The primary issue that I had with the experience with the finance manager was the misleading pricing structure that they had for the protection packages. When we went through the cost of these packages with the finance manager, she detailed the costs of each package as $8 per month and $13 per month. To me this meant that $21 per month would be added to my monthly payment. We signed the agreement with some confusion as to how the payments were calculated and why they were higher than expected.

After getting home, I went over the bill of sale in more detail to find that the cost of the two packages actually worked out to about $40 per month rather than the advertised $21 per month (and this was over an 84 month term, that we had to extend to in order to make our payments work within our budget). And this amount didn't even include the interest portion that I would assume is also incurred on financing the costs of the packages.

Additionally, when we picked up the vehicle one week later, it looked like it hadn't been washed in quite some time. When buying a new vehicle, I expected that the vehicle would be fully detailed at the time of pickup. The first comment that I received on the new vehicle was that it sure looked dirty for a new vehicle.

Just to top it all off, after driving it about 100 km back to our home, I went to check the owners manual and it was completely forgotten. It really seemed like this dealership was disorganised, however after calling them they did send the owners manual in the mail to save us the trip back to Edmonton.

All in all, the customer service and buying experience was not at a level that I would expect. I hope that customers purchasing a new vehicle have a better experience during the entire process.

Paul in service had a great attitude and was very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond for me and I left with everything I needed and more. I highly recommend him to anyone with service needs. My overall experience with him was great and I will definitely continue to be a customer!!

Awful awful service!!! The sales person Just tried to rush me through the whole process to trade in my car and make a deal right away. Once the deal was finalized I had an appointment to meet with the finance department. I Waited another 45 minutes just to see her. Then my jeep was suppose to be detailed and gassed up and I come back to pick it up and they never filled the tank. I then Spoke to my sales person and another staff and they took another half hour to put gas in the tank! In my opinion, this dealership will be friendly to you before you have given them your money and once you buy a vehicle and walk out the door everything goes down hill. I will never recommend this dealership to anyone!! I've had much better experience at great west Chrysler or Crosstown compared to capital!!!! Huge mistake to purchase a vehicle from this dealership!!
