About me and how I fell in love with my hobby. . ! ! I am a mother of two grown children. . Carlton James Edward, 22, & Ashley Chantel, 21; I became an "Empty-Nester" back a few years ago; As a mother, I thought it was "too soon" for my babies to move out and be on their own, but they insisted they would be "just fine" on their own. . ! ! So, I wanted to have a couple of dolls in their image, to have in the house so that I can see them everyday. . . ! ! So I started looking online for a couple of dolls to purchase, and I seen MasterPiece Dolls, Bradford Exchange Dolls, but nothing that actually "looked" like my two kids; So, I searched deeper into how can I find dolls that look like my two kids, and that's when I ran into "Reborn Dolls". . ; Well when I realized that I could create dolls that looked exactly like mine. . . Well I was All Over That. . . ! ! So I ordered a couple of doll sculpts online, and painted, rooted, and stuffed them, and they turned out Exactly like they looked. . . ! ! I was Ecstatic. . . ! !
So, needless to say, I've been to the "Moon & Back" with this hobby. . ! ! I've purchased sculpts and vinyl dolls over the years, and now have several dolls up to 36" of my own kids, as well as random dolls I have created and sold online;. . . What can I say. . .
