Carburn Park

I love his hidden little gem in the middle of the city. It’s quiet and there’s a great pond for skating in the winter.

I'd give it a 5 star if they had fire pits again, but other than that, they keep the place very well maintained, they make sure everyone is safe and it's a beautiful place to go to if you like nature! Lots of places to go hiking and with bon fires again it is a place where you could spend all day there as a family.

Amazing park for an evening walk. Paved paths that go around the ponds, and some unpaved paths that lead to the river, plus a bit of opportunity to explore the little bit of forest near the river. It's nice to walk here from the dog park a little further south on the opposite side of the river.

I love going for a walk/run in this park. Lots of wildlife (Geese, ducks and other birds, deer, etc.) and lots of big trees. There is a playground for the kids and some picnic areas. There is a set of frequently cleaned bathrooms by the entrance to the park as well. You can float in a raft in the summer or skate in the winter. Great place to hang out with the family.

This is a great place for any kind of activity. There are picnic benches where you can bring a snack to enjoy.
Maybe you want to enjoy a bike ride, jogging, rollerskating or just walking. They have trails for all of that. There is plenty of wildlife to see all around. There are bathrooms there. They also have a good size parking lot that is very easy to access.

This park is great! A paved path circles the lake so it's great for a run or a bike ride, there is lots of wild life from owls and geese to deer that can be seen in the park. There are lovely side paths to bring you to the river or winding around the tall trees. The close proximity to Sue Higgins Park/Southland Dog Park is great for those days when parking is scarce at the dog park especially on the weekends.

I love this park. Quiet and peaceful. There are tables that you can prep your food and stuff. You can do boating on the small pond or you can even meditate. A very nice place to relax and read a good book. 💚
