Congratulations to ‘Cheddar Jack’ in capturing the very exciting $125,000 final of the Ralph Klein Memorial Stake. The first division was won by 'Custards Laststand' and the second division by ‘Ready N Steady’. Congratulations to all the connections!

Congratulations to ‘Hot Kiss’ in winning the $125,000 Gord and Illa Rumpel Memorial Stake. Hot Kiss dominated the race wire to wire in 1:54.1 paying $73.30 to win.

THE STAGE IS SET!
The Mid Summer Classic is the biggest harness racing day of the year here at Century Downs with over $350,000 up for grabs in purse money.
The three-year old pacers will take centre stage in the Ralph Klein Memorial and the Gord and Illa Rumpel Memorial. In the Ralph Klein we will see two $10,000 elimination heats (races six and seven) The top nine from the eliminations will go on to compete in the tenth race for the 125,000 final.
... We will also see two divisions in the Century Bets Stakes for two-year-old colts and gelding along with two divisions in the Emerald Filly Stakes for two-year-old fillies.

We spent Saturday afternoon at Century Downs and had an absolutely wonderful time.



We had a blast betting on the Standardbreds, such an exciting sport to watch!!!



Ordered drinks from the bar, received great service from a lovely lady with brown hair (forget her name!). Sat in the booths for a bit of lunch, great food and had awesome service from another girl and got to watch the races at the same time!



Beautiful facility, loads of parking, great race announcer, good service, exciting races, can't wait until the pacers return for another season!!

This a great place to spend an afternoon. The racing is a lot of fun. You don't really have to understand a a lot about horse racing to have a good time. The staff is more than helpful. After the races make sure you try the food in the restaurant. It's great.

The atmosphere - amazing staff, food, child friendly and exciting horse racing!

Really enjoying the races out at Century Downs. I am liking being out in the fresh air watching the races as they should be. If I wanted to be protected from the elements I would watch inside.... My girlfiend and i had supper at the lounge.... it was amazing we had the best waiter � his name was Adrian amazing customer service he should be rewarded � for his amazing hard work

Love the food and service at this place! The chef nails it every time no matter what we order, and at reasonable cost. Adrian always provides top notch service, and is efficient and personable. We keep coming back. �

It is very exciting to see, it will be good for owner, trainers, drivers an the economy for sure, unless you are or were in the business people don't understand the spin off from horse racing. I think you will see some horsemen come back to Alberta and owners getting back into the busines.

I love the casino, I enjoy playing there and I also think that they have the best employees possible, they are very friendly and personable and make a person feel like family. The meals in the restaurant are wonderful and they are priced very reasonably. I go there just to eat sometimes when I can't decide what to eat at home. The waiters and waitresses are always very nice, have a smile and something nice to say, what else could you ask for? I love Country Downs Casino.

Great casino and horse racing venue as well as good food services. Staff very friendly and knowledgable. Whether you live in Calgary or are visiting the area, i think Century Downs is well worth a visit.

Y'know, I don't usually fill these things out, but....I love the fact they have a track here again, and am looking forward to the TB's racing there. I am disappointed that they cannot have "dealers" in the casino otherwise myself and my wife would be there way more often...just too old I guess to get any "kick" out of gambling against a digital thing. The point I do want to bring up and one that can be fixed and needs to be fixed is the "bar and food" outside by the track. I am certain you could not invent a less efficient system if you tried. Standing in line for 10-15 mins. to get a "chit" to go stand in line for another 10 mins. to get a bag of popcorn(or anything else) is ludicrous! We have most definitely "not spent" hundreds of dollars on liquor and food outside because we are not about to leave our friends and the conversation for 1/2 hour every time we want to buy a "round" or have a bite. And then we go somewhere else later to wine and dine. I get frustrated and shake my head every time at the system that they have there. It is a 100% fail! And it definitely affects their bottom line...'cause these two people have kept hundreds of dollars in our pocket which ended up going elsewhere where they understand service. So, please, please, please take this as constructive criticism and do something to help your patrons spend more money on food and drink at the track. We have friends with trotters, and get invited there lots...but this topic ALWAYS comes up...so please help yourself so you can help us spend more money in your establishment!

This is the only casino in the Calgary area that does not support the Designated Driver program. All other casinos provide free pop not only for DD's but to their customers. The woman behind the bar was not a very pleasant person when I tried to discuss this with her.

The rest of the place is just awesome!

Really enjoyed the races, the only thing I would like to complain about was the very expensive cheeseburger from the food truck out side. Nine dollars plus gst for a cold dry cheeseburger will never eat at this venue again.

A very nice track, good visibility and I really liked the camera views on the very large infield screen.

But seemed poorly set up for the average spectator.

No covered grandstands for the spectators to be out of the elements.

No outside vendors.

Poor access to washrooms, you had to walk through the convoluted casino on the other side to get to them.

And the only covered spot to view from was from the restaurants which charge $50 premium just to sit at the table (that’s before the food)

Parking though could be adequate but it seems like there were very few parking spots for handicapped persons.

And being that I was travelling with my elderly mother who has limited mobility, this was very disheartening to say the least.

Very nice track. Very poor for spectators. Most of what is there looks to be after thought to get by. Looking at the overall set up it was not designed by any one in the racing industry or sporting industry. It was put in for the casino and used the racing as an excuse.
