If you truly love a horse you should love them in all circumstances.

I just love old horses and this video says it so perfectly. After a lifetime of service we owe it to them to take care of them to the end. ♥️

I’ve seen a few people doing this and it looks like fun! Post a photo of your horse below, and I’ll say whether I would: Own😍 Ride🐴 Sell 💸
... Don’t be offended if I say sell, we can’t own them all .

It’s not even that cold yet and I’m already missing summer. 🐴☀️

Three years makes a bit of a difference! The picture on the left is the day I officially purchased Poncho (three years ago today) vs a more recent pic on the right.
I first started riding Poncho when he was five but it wasn’t until he was eight that I finally made it official and purchased him. Best decision I ever made! #HeartHorse ♥️

Absolutely no caption is needed for this picture but I have to say, I’m really glad to have this horse back.
I trained her, did all the work myself, turned her into an absolutely amazing, trustworthy horse, and then I sold her.
Back then my thinking was to buy an unbroke/ untrustworthy horse for cheap, turn it into a good one, and sell it for a profit. I wanted the horses that were challenge. Once it became a good horse I lost interest.
... My mindset has now changed. Now I think that if you are lucky enough to have a good horse, don’t let it go.
Neither of these mindsets are wrong, just different. Different places in life often lead to different ways of thinking.
I used to constantly fear change but now I find myself constantly looking forward to what’s coming next. Embrace change with an open mind because who knows? The next chapter could be even better than the last.

I think this is probably my favourite Budweiser commercial ♥️

Problem #242 when your horse is cowier than you are: 🐴🐮
Today we were dealing with an ornery group of cows and while trying to get them out of the pasture several of them would not go where they were supposed to and kept trying to head the wrong direction. It finally looked like they were about to go when one broke from the herd and took off the wrong way. Before I even had time to react, Poncho spun on his haunches so sharp and so fast to go after the runaway that he nearly slung shot me off the side! 😂 Lost my balance and stirrups, was hanging slightly off kilter, but hey, I stayed on and he stopped the cow and got her turned back before my feet even got back in the stirrups. He’s so amazing. ♥️ #RanchHorse

Accurate 😂

Not many people who ride horses are able to call themselves a true horseman(woman), and that is because true horsemanship is so much more than just riding. It is truly knowing your horse. Knowing his quirks, things he likes, things he doesn't. It is taking the time to catch and brush him and tack him up before the ride and to untack him, groom him, and turn him loose afterwards. Not always having to ride but taking time to just spend time. A relationship between horse and rider is built on so much more than just riding.

User

How is he so freaking gorgeous? 😱

Too funny not to share 🤣

If you’ve been following me for a couple-few years you might recognize this horse. Her name is Siren. When I got her she had been abused and was absolutely terrified of people. It wasn’t uncommon for her to rear and strike, pull back or kick out. I put a lot of blood, sweat, and time into her and working to gain her trust. She turned into one of the sweetest and most gentle mares I’ve ever had. I used her as one of my lesson horses for kids! I ended up selling her to a 12 year old boy a couple years back. Things have changed though and he can no longer keep her so tomorrow I’m bringing her back home, and this time, probably for good. 💜 Welcome back baby girl.

User

Stay tuned! 🐎

User

🙎🏻‍♀️ Random person: “Ugh, my horses are so hard to catch!” 🤷🏼‍♀️ Me awkwardly making conversation: “Uh yeah, mine too.” Lol 😂 (No, didn’t have a bucket.)

User

Smart horse!

User

Went out to ride Renegade this morning and see this. 🙄
He was calm and didn’t seem to be in a lot of pain, I was tempted to try to pull them myself but I was alone and I didn’t want him to panic and kick me or anything so I just called the vet. He sedated him and removed the quills with no fuss.
My poor guy, I was planning on riding him to pull bulls tomorrow but the vet suggested he have today and tomorrow off, just to be on the safe side in case he’s a little tender.
... Well Poncho, looks like you’re up buddy. Get ready to work tomorow.
On another note if anyone would like to come out and hunt porcupines you’re welcome! There’s SO many!!!! 😩

Writing this for my wife Heather Bourque: "I think of Chantal as the horse whisperer. I have seen her take our stubborn mare Siren and turn her into an eager participant, the difference in her was like night and day. Chantal is also really good with foals - when we brought our colt Prince to her he loved to bite and chase people. Under Chantal's care he is now calm, easy going and friendly. Currently Chantal is working magic with our filly Daisy with halter breaking, training and even looking for a buyer for her on our behalf. Chantal is firm but not harsh or cruel in her training methods. She will always put the horse's well-being as her top priority. I would recommend anyone looking to train their horse to go to her, you will be very happy with the results!"

We bought a 12 yr. Old Q.H. mare from Chantal in July 2016 for my son who didn't have alot of riding experience, which made me a little nervous.

I'm now happy to say that I'm no longer nervous and love having him as a riding partner as well as watching him riding her on his own, galloping in the fields and even bareback!

He very much loves her and seeing them together I think feelings are pretty mutual.

Chantal put alot of training into Siren, she wasnt always an easy going horse and is why she received the name Siren.

We are so happy with her today and can't thank Chantal enough for the hard work and skill that she put in and never giving up on her. The countless hours spent to bring out the sweet side of Siren that has made her such a fantastic kids horse that a Mother can trust and truly a boys best friend. :)

This girl, has more heart and patience and perseverance than anyone I've seen. She may get knocked down but she always gets back up. If you have entrusted her to train your horses, they are in good hands. Everyday no matter how she feels , she is committed to serving her clients and horses and gets out there and puts in faithful time and effort. I have seen her have very successful days where she is on cloud nine, and days where she feels completely defeated, but she will never quit, loves the challenge, the pride of accomplishment as she watches the horse grow and the love and bond between her and each horse she trains. She just has this easy, gentle way that animals are drawn to. If she is training for you, your animals are in great hands

I sold Phoenix in early May I believe. When I had her she was fiesty and very hard to handle. Since being with Chantal she has become an amazing little mare. Im so glad to see her progress the way she has in the amazing care and training shes recieve since leaving my care. I would trust that any of my horses would get great care and training with Chantal

User

I had Chantal train my 3 year old. It wasn't long and she had her at a w/t/l under saddle, doing her directions well, and stopping. She did an incredible job and I had no issues with selling her. The first person who came to look at her bought her. She was working amazing under saddle and we're very impressed with how well she was doing. Chantal did an amazing job with my mare and I recommend her to anyone who needs to send their horse to a trainer

User

Chantelle does a great job from start to finish and all the horses we have had her Train are. Now in the string. And ready to go

User

Chantal was absolutely awesome to deal with when purchasing a horse from her. We had to make her wait a while before picking up our new gorgeous boy but she was so kind and understanding about the whole situation. I brought our new boy home and went to pick up his hooves and the second my hand went down to reach for each of his hooves he already had it up and waiting for me. I can tell from how our gelding is that Chantal did a very good job with handling him, I would get another horse from her in a heartbeat!
