I do like a nice book store. Nicely setup, very friendly and helpful staff, coffee shop inside and a bevy of trinkets as well.

The staff are really nice - no question about that. But I saw a book I wanted advertised for half off on Chapters website, and it was in stock at Chinook, so I ripped over there to get it - only to find out that the sale doesn't apply in-store. They explained that the prices from their website don't always apply to the retail locations.

I was really surprised by that. Most places you go nowadays are all like, "We will match any price!", and instead Chapters is like, "We wont' match ANY price - not even our own!"

Great selection, BUT almost everything in the store needs to be price Checked because there are no price tags anywhere. Then comes the inevitable heart attack when you see the sky high prices. Insane.

My review is specifically for the Starbucks inside this Chapters - the staff are absolutely FANTASTIC! They are so sweet, friendly, and kind, and the quality of beverages that they serve is night and day better than the other Starbucks location in this mall. I actually look forward to going to this Starbucks because of how great the baristas are!

Always remember to cross-shop with Amazon.ca (what I wanted was roughly half their price) but don't bother asking to price match. The short answer is no, but you may get an earful for your trouble.

Great Chapters location. Large selection, helpful staff, and a stand alone kids department. Can get a bit busy at times especially around Christmas.
