Meal-maestro Chef Ro moved to Canada with his family at the age of seven. Shortly after acclimating to their new home, his family launched the tantalizing eatery known as Pita Basket. Chef Ro, the youngest of his brothers, was raised by a family of tenacious businessmen, all with the intrinsic craving to succeed. His father, who previously owned a Lebanese restaurant, passed these values down to Chef Ro, demonstrating how prosperity always emanates from passion and dedication.

At the age of thirteen, he began embracing his ethnic roots and experimenting with food, delivering a mouth-watering infusion of flavor, while also attending school. Chef Ro elected to forgo culinary school, focusing his efforts on gaining first-hand field experience. Today, Chef Ro incorporates artist flair in his dishes, relishing in the opportunity to experiment with different recipes. Coined the “Ro Style, ” this personalized touch has attracted loyal and discerning customers seeking to savor his delectable cuisine. Because of their faithful and receptive clientele, Pita Basket has since expanded, now open in five locations.

Each location is owned and operated by a devoted family member of Chef Ro. The restaurant’s ambiance personifies their shared heritage, expertise, and passion for the craft. Prepared from scratch, each succulent dish holds a pinch of love, fostered from Chef Ro’s thirteen years of infatuation with the culinary arts. Although his uncle is responsible for devising the restaurant’s name, Chef Ro and his brother have nurtured and developed their brand, communicating their family’s story with the masses.
