Walked in here when it was quiet and there was 14 of us, our server looked after us really well and service was great. Would def come back, food was awesome and beers were super cold ��

This is the pub you come to where everyone can know your name. It is a great bar for locals of all kinds, the neighbourhood cheers bar. They have great appy specials throughout the week. And bring in new things like live music and DJs in on the weekends. A place where you have a few people and it feels lively fun place. After being in Sylvan this is my favourite place to go. Especially when you get sociable with the regulars and staff. Has made great times 10x better!

There is a reason this place still rocks from day one great people, employees go above and beyond. Cheif runs an excellent establishment with his employees!!

Stopped in Sylvan Lake to grab a bite to eat this past Friday afternoon on the way to a conference in the area. After checking out a few menus posted along the Main Street we landed at Chief's Pub & Eatery. Menu looked great and prices were amazing. Our server was helpful and engaging. Had the BEST nachos with loads of cheese and great toppings. Mmmmmm. Chief himself was in the restaurant greeting everyone who came in and all in all creating a great vibe for guests and staff. The restaurant was clean and well cared for. Our experience was so great we met friends there before our return trip to Calgary. This time we were out on the patio. Same server remembered what we had and was again an amazing server even when the patio was packed with people. Friendly, helpful and great service. Chief walks around and chats with the customers...Shakes your hand. Love this place. ♥️ We will definitely make it our "go to" in Sylvan. Check it out! A great find ✔️

So just had the best steak bites in my life here at this pub. Totally not what I expected for the price!! Juicy grilled steak pieces on two skewers! On a bed of amazing as well fries with gravy. My mouth is watering just thinking about it again!!��

Savory pub food at reasonable prices. Drinks are awesome. Clean establishment and cleanest washrooms in sylvan lake. Friendly waitresses - so accommodating with lil ones. Best new patio in town! My husband and I love this eatery!

Just love this place! People are nice, waitresses are nicer, owner is great! My go to always! Foods pretty good too! Always stop in when I'm in town!

Great lunches! I come in all the time - the soup and sandwich is super awesome! So is the cold beer! �

Feels like a home away from home. Always have a great time and am well take care of- more than that I can see through time spent there that regulars and even complete strangers are treated like great friends. Thanks Chief & staff!

Mario and I decided to head out several nights ago for our first trip to a pub since moving to Sylvan a few months ago. Ended up going back twice more. Manager Bonilyn is a great hostess. We'll be back.

My best friend and I decided to try this place out, (there was just a few tables filled up) we both work in customer service and we have NEVER experienced such shitty service before. We came in starving-haven’t eaten all day, took our waitress, *Michelle* 15 mins to serve us for drinks, then ignored our table completely, there was a table in front of us and behind us. They got drinks and food before us! We were both making eye contact with our waitress to come to our table to take our order for something to eat, 20 mins later she asks us how we are doing, we just asked for our bill and left. We ended up going to Wing ‘n it. We were seated in seconds drinks ordered and brought within 3 mins. Took our food order, and our dinner was brought to us with in 10mins. NEVER EATING AT CHEIFS AGAIN!

Literally the worst service/experience I have ever had eating out. I work in the industry so I understand if it's busy, trust me I do. However, doing some of the stuff our server did made our experience so unbearable we will never ever come back and it honestly makes me want to tell others never come back. We sat down, took us maybe 10 minutes to get our menus, again it was busy so that's not what I have a problem with. Once we get our menus and drinks and are ready to order, our server sat behind the bar texting and eating a sandwich right in front of us (we had the table next to the bar) and didn't come over for maybe 10 more minutes. If she would have taken our order first as she was clearly facing our direction and knew we were ready, I would of had no problem with her eating. Finally we get to order , she warns us any food will take 45 minutes so we ask instead of having appies first in like 15, 20, we get everything at the same time around 45 mins so our burgers don't take an hour. She argues with us, saying that makes no sense why would you do that and she will just send appies first. Then she said I need these and took our utensils and condiments and brought then to another table. No where to be found for refills, finally see her, ask for another drink and she literally jogs over, slammed it on the table and ran outside to pick up and hug a baby. Stood outside for 5 minutes, brought in her friends and baby and brought then shots as soon as they sat down. My girlfriend ordered a 2nd drink that had 2 bugs swimming in them. Get appies, no condiments. Finally get food literally an hour and 15 minutes after we order, my burger sat under a heat lamp forever, poutine was uneatable and my girlfriends chicken was pink inside! We ask for the bills, our 2 bills were mixed up and instead of apologizing for anything that happened, she just asked us about our day after making zero effort to ask any of that while serving. If she would have said I'm sorry even once she would have got her 15% but she felt and looked like she would do anything else than serve us. Trust me, I get when it's busy, long shift, all you want to do is eat and go home but if you served us and cleaned tables, preset properly instead of texting and hugging babies, your shift would go way smoother. Text when it's slow and probably not infront of your tables. Ridiculous service, horrible food.

I have been here several times but was stolen from by 1 waitresses when I raised the issue was told not to bother coming back lousy attitude by owner spent over 500 that day will never go back to be stolen from

I had the turkey dinner scheduled for 5:00 pm on Christmas day. The profits would go to the Food Bank, a good cause so I thought it was a good idea. When I got there they said it would be 5:30 pm. I had to finally ask for it to be packed up because it wasn't served by 6:15 pm and I could not wait anymore. When I opened it there was no gravy or butter, the vegetables had been frozen and two little pieces of turkey. Oh and a dry bun. They don't give minus stars or I would give that.
