Chinook Bowladrome

On July 7 & 8th Bonnie Doon lanes in Edmonton hosted the Bowl Canada Cup Championships. We had our own Chinook team (Ruth Kahler, Gloria Nagel, Don Solotwinski and Ernie Reid) in the Club 55 cup where they placed third!! We also had Ernie Handchar from Chinook in the Singles division where he faced some tough competition but bowled incredibly well!
We are very proud of our Chinook Bowlers for making it all the way to the national championships and for representing not only Chinook, but Alberta so wonderfully. We truly love seeing our league bowlers succeed as they are what makes our job so much fun!

We would like to send a huge thank you out to everyone who participated and donated to our golf tournament last weekend. These events can’t happen without all of your support so we are extremely grateful to all of you.
We have some people we would like to thank by name: Firstly thank you to Sarah for all your help organizing this tournament and being there the day of to make things go smoothly. Thank you to Kiersten for coming out to help even on her day off, her enthusias...m is always appreciated. Do not cross the foul line 🙅🏻‍♀️ Our lanes are oiled which makes them VERY slippery. The oil is put on the lanes to protect them! Believe it or not, this oil helps absorb the shock of the ball hitting the lane! WOW! Yesterday was so hot...summer is here! We know a lot of our bowlers enjoy golfing in the off season which is why we’re so excited to host our 1st golf tournament! A day of golf, a steak dinner and a silent auction sounds like the perfect way to spend a Saturday...well other than bowling of course!!

Here’s a little behind the scenes of the bowling pins! We do weekly maintenance on our pins because as you can see they get very dirty! Did you know that there’s 18 inches in between each of the pins? That’s part of what makes 5 pin bowling so hard!!

It’s summer! 😍 Keep in mind that we have now switched over to our summer hours due to our leagues being done for the season.
Remember that it is always a good idea to reserve a lane to ensure availability especially if you’re looking to come in on a rainy day as they are usually crazy busy for us!

Not pictured is Chinook’s own Ernie Hanchar who won the singles event. He bowled a game over 300 to come from 11th place and win!

Hi everyone! Just a quick note that today we will not have any public bowling lanes available until 6pm as we are hosting a provincial tournament. We are still taking a few reservations after 6pm so if you’d like to come in give us a call at (403) 252-5747. We will be open until 9pm.
Also if any of our wonderful league bowlers would like to come down and help us sell 50/50 tickets we would LOVE to have you! 😊

Does anyone recognize this towel? Someone left it behind during a tournament a while ago and hasn’t claimed it. So if it’s yours or if you know whose it is let us know so it can find it’s way home!!

We have had multiple staff parties here, the staff are very friendly, and helpful. It is a good time. Go play and have fun.

They were so nice. I had chest surgery 2 weeks ago and they actually offered me lighter balls so I could play with my friends that I was originally just going to watch. Loved it!

They did a great job of hosting the YBC Provincial tournament on the weekend

The staff at Bowladrome are AMAZING, great customer service! So friendly and inviting. Always greeted with a welcoming smile. My client and I choose to go here over any other bowling alley in the city. Clean, fun atmosphere!

My cousin had her daughters birthday here and it was great!!!!! The staff was very polite and accommodating, we all had a lot of fun, definitely will be coming back!!!

My boyfriend and I have bowled here a couple times now and I must say that every time we've gone bowling we have had AMAZING customer service!! All the staff and very friendly and helpful! We always get a hello and a smile as soon as we walk in the door which is always very inviting. I would definitely recommend bowling at the Chinook Bowladrome!

Definitely made me earn each strike.

I've seen a lot of bowling alleys when my kids bowled in the YBC at Chinook and I have to say Chinook is the best one it's always clean and the staff is amazing.

I had an amazing time here. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend chinook bowl a drome. I will definitely come back

Had our son's 8th birthday party and it was a complete success! The staff were warm, friendly and accommodating, the mac and cheese bites were to die for and everyone loved the bowling. We were able to bring a birthday cake without any hassle...they even let you have pizza delivered! Thank you so much to all of you for making this a birthday our son will never forget!!!

Had a blast here with my daughter! Staff was friendly and the food was good :)

Great place to bowl 5 pins. Owners and staff friendly, professional and helpful.

Been bowling here quite a few years, (mostly fun bowling, and a couple spring leagues) always great staff, awesome lanes, keep up the great work chinook!

Awesome people and run extremely well! Treated us like family (bowling family) right from day one!!

Always a great place to bowl and have lots of fun with friends.😊👍❤️... Love bowling.

Loved the friendly staff that helped us prepare to play, showed their patience as not everyone's shoes would fit. Look forward to another glow bowling visit very soon.

Lady at counter was nice. Other gentleman with staff shirt on was rude when it was not called for. Found it pretty expensive for two seniors to take one grandchild.
