We were recommended to check out this restaurant on the way back to Edmonton, and it did not disappoint! We ordered the chicken and waffles to-go. The staff were very friendly, and accurate with wait time. We received our order and noticed they gave each of us a bottle of water as well (how nice!). Upon opening our food, it was visually appealing. Once we had our first bite, we knew we would be back. Not greasy, perfect combination of sweet and savoury. We were not hungry when we ordered, but wished we’d ordered one for each of us after our experience! Well earned 5 stars!

We went for date night at Cilantro and Chive this evening. Friday night, we expected a busy night but yet as we walked in the door we were greeted instantly and seated within 5 mins. The service was great, and we heard many good things about the food, but the food was actually soooo yummy! I was worried of my options being gluten free, but there were so many options and the dish i decided to go with was so good. We are both happy to have finally made it to Lacombe to check it out, and will be our new favorite date night spot even though we live out in Penhold.

We have been planning a trip to Cilantro & Chive for a while but things never worked out... until yesterday. My first impression was a good one as the warm & welcoming atmosphere was great. I was extremely impressed by the selection of local beers and spirits. We entertained ourselves with one of the games provided as we waited for food.



Food was exceptional! Burger was one of the best I have had and was loaded! Pulled pork tacos were given high compliments too.



We were full from our meal and couldn’t manage one of the desserts, however the owner recommend we check out a local bakery for Cannoli. WOW!!

We had a late lunch here yesterday. All I can say is AMAZING! Our server was probably the best I have ever experienced anywhere. I can't for the life of me remember his name but he was hilarious. We had so much fun! He had us all laughing! When he found out that I was engaged and my group and I were wedding dress shopping he brought me a celebratory dessert. The food was soooo good! The service was top notch. Great little spot for food and drinks! (The Caesars are �)

Stopped in when I was in town, the menu is super fun, original and fresh! The service was great and we enjoyed the environment. I hope you open a spot in Ontario! Omg where do I start!! We went for the first time on Saturday evening it was packed and we didn’t have a reservation, heart broken I thought we’d be turned away, but the lovely young lady took my name, cell number and told us it would be a half hour wait. In 20mins I got a text our table was ready we were so pleased!! The service just got better from there!! Amazing drinks, out of this world food, reasonable prices, and a great family atmosphere. My husband got the barnyard burger that comes with a Caesar, I got the cheese dip with two fresh pretzels. Ordering was almost impossible with so many great choices!! We also ordered the Caesar flight board which was a sampling of their 4 main Caesars. We have already made reservations for our next visit!! Can’t wait to get back there and try the braised Duck wings and the poutine sampler ��

My friend Tammy suggested Cilantro and Chive after hearing we were just going out of town for lunch but didn't really know where we were going to end up . We walked in and was seated immediately by a lovely server , everything got better after that , I would definitely drive from Edmonton to eat there again �

Made it to Cilantro and Chive for the first time yesterday and I was absolutely blown away! They were fairly busy when we arrived and we were instantly greeted with smiles and were quickly shown a seat. Their beer list was amazing and they had so many delicious cocktails! We had an appetizer, dinner, and dessert and everything was phenomenal! The service was amazing (Taylor was awesome and put up with our high maintenance requests lol!!!)! And the owner is just an all around great guy! Can’t wait to go back!! ����

Love this place! I’m celiac and ordered the veggie burger on GF bread and it was incredible! Easily one of the best burgers I have ever had. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I got the fresh veggies as the side and the portion was pretty solid. I would definitely travel a few hours out of my way to come back.

I've eaten at many restaurants and cafes, pubs and burger drive-ins. I will say that this is a very unique place to eat. Some love it...like me. Some hate it...like my mother. The food is fabulous. The service is slow.. but that being said I think it's because it is a hopping place. Busy every time I'm there. I go here when I'm not in a rush and can kick back and relax. No offense. The servers are lovely...friendly and professional. Darn you for being so busy...lol. If I had to serve there I'd be fired or run screaming from the building. So awesome job to the servers. Good is unique. An exciting menu. Unfortunately not everyone may like menu as it's so different. I love it. I fell in love with Cilantro and Chive first time out. Being honest some things are a bit pricy. 11 bux for a tasty margarita but on the rocks...is a bit much. But on the upside...tastiest margarita I've ever had. You are doing an awesome job. Love the new inventions like Dill Pickle Poutine. I'm drooling here. Cool unleaded beverages for people like me who can't drink much...very tasty. Basically YOU ROCK. Love the food and atmosphere. The only dish I’ve ever been disappointed in was chicken burgers - sometimes they get a little over cooked and dry but the last time it was excellent. The best restaurant in town by a mile. Service takes a bit longer because they are so busy but for us it’s totally worth the wait! Sitting by the back door can be breezy but I just be sure to bring a sweater. �

The food is always amazing, while having some tasty menu essentials... they are always offering fresh & new menu items to keep your taste buds happy! Excellent bar menu as well - you have a craft beer you like, I almost guarantee they have it! Plus you have to get a Mule or Ceasar! I had the Dill Pickle Poutine last night and it was as Dill-licious and everything I hoped it would be! Also its great to see a business supporting other Local businesses and all the support they do for community is fantastic!

Came here for supper last night after finally convincing my boyfriend it was going to be worth the hour and a half drive � Not only is the restaurant gorgeous inside & on the patio but the food is absolutely amazing!! And so unique.. Cilantro & Chive is without a doubt my new highest recommended restaurant. I love the fact there’s lists upon lists of LOCAL beer (Minus Dark Woods out of Innisfail). Our server was the kindest most efficient server I’ve ever experienced as well. I’ve been in the serving business for a while now and been to a lot of different restaurants all over Alberta. 5 stars well deserved and I will be back again and again!

Came from Lethbridge after seeing all the posts on Facebook of this restaurant. Honestly, it exceeded every expectation I had. This is a must stop to anyone who comes through the area. The pulled pork tacos are to die for.

Lots of good stuff here, really enjoyed the butter chicken poutine and pulled pork tacos. Drinks were good too. However I was super disappointed in my burger. Could totally tell it was a frozen box burger. Flavorless and dry. Suprising for how good the toppings were on it, ruined the burger for me though.

It was extremely busy at the time we arrived but the environment was fabulous, even for the little ppl in our party. The service was good the food was amazing and the drink options were endless. Highly recommend this for adults that want a family friendly restaurant with a adult pub type twist ❤️

After reading reviews my husband and I were very excited to try this restaurant. Our first visit was great, and we enjoyed very aspect of it. The second visit the food was lacking (especially for the price) and my sister in law was burned for ordering a $23 cider (a fact she overlooked). I mentioned that beers with that kind of mark up should definitely be flagged with some sort of star or even different coloured font to ensure the customer understands what they are getting into, or even a quick heads up from wait staff. I can’t imagine the markup is that high from a cider from Calgary.

Today was our third time, and it was even more disappointing. I could look past paying over $8 for a small can of beer I can get around the corner at the brewery for $6 a pint, but when my chicken sandwich tastes like dirty burnt grill, is dry and flavourless and I pay an extra $1 to get “aioli” that is straight from a bottle, I get frustrated. Having mentioned the sandwich I couldn’t eat to our waitress, I left disappointed seeing that my feedback fell on deaf ears. I hate to give a bad review to a local favourite but I wish I had been warned. We won’t be visiting cilantro and chive again. �

No water given after being asked. Fries were cold. Food was mediocre at best. Fish batter was raw in some parts and perfectly cooked in others. Tartar sauce was bland and tasted store bought. Coleslaw was overdressed without a hint of jalapeño anywhere.Chicken fingers were almost black they were so dark and dry. Gravy was good. Nothing peachy about the peach and prosciutto burger. Soggy and not a peach in sight. Hummus was awesome. Best thing about the meal. Such a disappointment. We were expecting fresh and hip and fun. Missed on all points. Don’t bother going. We travelled 50km and it wasn’t worth it.

I mentioned that beers with that kind of mark up should definitely be flagged with some sort of star or even different coloured font to ensure the customer understands what they are getting into, or even a quick heads up from wait staff. I can’t imagine the markup is that high from a cider from Calgary.

Today was our third time, and it was even more disappointing. I could look past paying over $8 for a small can of beer I can get around the corner at the brewery for $6 a pint, but when my chicken sandwich tastes like dirty burnt grill, is dry and flavourless and I pay an extra $1 to get “aioli” that is straight from a bottle, I get frustrated. Having mentioned the sandwich I couldn’t eat to our waitress, I left disappointed seeing that my feedback fell on deaf ears. I hate to give a bad review to a local favourite but I wish I had been warned. We won’t be visiting cilantro and chive again. �

No water given after being asked. Fries were cold. Food was mediocre at best. Fish batter was raw in some parts and perfectly cooked in others. Tartar sauce was bland and tasted store bought. Coleslaw was overdressed without a hint of jalapeño anywhere.Chicken fingers were almost black they were so dark and dry. Gravy was good. Nothing peachy about the peach and prosciutto burger. Soggy and not a peach in sight. Hummus was awesome. Best thing about the meal. Such a disappointment. We were expecting fresh and hip and fun. Missed on all points. Don’t bother going. We travelled 50km and it wasn’t worth it.
