It’s a movie theatre, what can I say?
The staff are usually friendly and welcoming. Every movie theatre has over priced food, that’s how they make money. We usually go on opening day if there’s a movie we want to see and it’s not that busy (Thursday) the seats in the theatre could use a steam clean, on the weekend parking can be hard to find. Just come early for your movie to get parking, tickets, snacks, and play TimePlay 😉

Parked the best I could between other cars in the back lots after a snowfall and received a ticket because I wasn't in the lines. I sent an appeal to the city, explained the situation and asked to have the ticket removed but was told the owner of the cineplex called bylaw and wouldn't retract their complaint so I had to pay an extra $50 to go to the movies. I avoid this theater now.

Was once the only choice for south side movie going, before the Cineplex Windermere VIP theatres opened, It seems fairly well-run. There have only been a few glitches with the screenings, like forgetting to dim the lights fully or issues with sound. but I can count these on one hand for the many years I have been going there. Cineplex's concession prices are traditionally high, but where else are you going to go? Seats are comfortable, but be warned for popular movies that may be crowded: the seats in the first 4 rows are too close to the large screen to actually watch and enjoy the movie. Make sure you get there early to avoid those seats.

The front end staff is awesome. Very quick through the queue. Also very clean in the theatre too. It's nice not walking on sticky floors or old pop corn. Well done!

I enjoy going to the movies at this location. I use to enjoy the popcorn as well. In fact, I would go just buy popcorn or see a movie I was not interested in just to eat the popcorn. However, my recent (the past year) popcorn experiences are less tasteful. To much salt and oil used to pop the popcorn! What about a popcorn choice of plain popcorn cooked in oil that doesn't upset your stomach and color the popcorn and no added salt? It would be great if one theater stepped up to offer a more health conscious popcorn. Popcorn without all the toppings is actually healthy.

South Edmonton Common is my 'go to' movie theater, and is overall quite nice. The staff is friendly and helpful, the self-service ticketing machines make the whole buying tickets process a lot faster and easier. Large bathrooms, and the two AVX theaters are really nice, but the standard theaters are still more than adequate, much better than some other theater chains. While overall, the theaters aren't quite as nice as Windermere's and it can get really busy on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays, they still manage to keep the flow going. The continuous improvements are nice, but the one suggestion I would have for future improvements is - MORE PARKING STALLS, because it's definitely not the greatest feeling when it's freezing outside (or super humid and hot) and you have to park your car a 2-3 minute walk away because the parking lot is full.

Always one of my favorite theatres to go to in Edmonton. Myself, family, or friends never really have any issues. Popcorn and other snacks are good. Is a bit pricey but the Scene Card helps a bit. But id have to admidt the burger place they have doesnt have the best food.

A well kept establishment. Could use more parking space, now that the Rec Center is open and it has taken over a huge area of the cinema's parking. The last time I was there on a Friday evening I ended up having to park near the Banana Republic and walk. Best bet is to arrive a good 20 minutes before your movie start time to find parking and make your way to the cinema on peak nights.

Love this movie theatre. Super comfy seats and nice big screens. Decent wait times for food and tickets.
