1) September 24 to 28, 2018 is Alberta Development Officers' Week (whereas Alberta Development Officers' Week helps us to publicly recognize the work of our municipal colleagues in planning and development for the improvement of the City)
2) October 6, 2018 is World Cerebral Palsy Day (whereas Cerebral Palsy affects an estimated 17 million people worldwide).

Sheriff Oscar Robert Behiels of WETASKIWIN illegally arrested Dr Simona Tibu who alleges was assaulted sexually assaulted by him too . Sheriff Behiels of WETASKIWIN along with the government got sued for 5,6 million dollars plus other damages .
Moved here 9 years ago, and I love it here! It's a small town feel with all the things you need near by! And if your looking for a bigger shopping experience the city of Edmonton is only 30mins away.
Great job today!! Kids loved all the activities and free stuff they got. Nice to see such a great turn out for this event!!
FIREWORKS WERE THE BEST EVER!!!! Haven't been for a couple of years, these were timed great, varied small, medium and humongous in spectacular fashion. JOB WELL DONE, THANK YOU
City of Wetaskiwin hired our firm CARSON POW-R-VAC Ltd to perform HVAC/furnace cleaning for the RCMP. Abit of paperwork for security clearances but apart from that we found the experience enjoyable AND IN MY OPINION WETASKIWIN is the perfect size.
It strikes me how thoughtful their site managers are. They are so busy
& yet they take time to give our estimators info on the needs of their managed bldgs
(ie energy optimization & reduction of sickness/absenteeism by promoting a healthier indoor environment).
I also admire the different cultures which are highlighted here on FB! KUDOS! All the best MARK OF cpvDOTca

I moved here 2 years ago from Edmonton. Love the small town feel. However I have noticed that bicycle riding is really not encouraged. No stores have bike stands to lock your bike while you are shopping. Why is that? I know most stores are privately owned but what has the city done to encourage shop owners to get bike racks, if any.
