This was Cowboy Central years ago when it was the Crossroads. Nice to be back at what is now the Clarion. Booked it at a great room rate. Easy access off the Deerfoot. Convenient parking. This place has kept up with the times. Easy checkin with polite freindly Staff. Great rooms, extremely comfortable beds, clean rooms, hot water, and very quite even facing the Trans Canada Highway. Nice view off the balcony. New elevator. Good restuarant with a nice view. Lounge.I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Big rig parking and close to Dennys. Dennys was great for breakfast heading out! Didn't have a chance to eat in the restuarant but I hear the food is still good. Years ago this was one of my favorites either trucking or enjoying the Calgary Stampede.

We came down for my sister wedding shower and the manager made our event extremely enjoyable and so did all the people that help us set up to the cooks, absolutely everyone did such a good job.

As for the hotel room it was also perfect comfy bed , and the set up of the room was very nice.

I personally am wanting to have my own wedding in this hotel .

Friendly staff, nice rooms. I really enjoyed my stay, we had a room on the 9th floor facing north. The view was good and there is a macs store and 2 liquor vendors within walking distance. Also Denny's if you are into that kind of thing

Don't know why so many negative reviews. I'm here right now for the second night on floor 9. Amazing room. Huge king bed , balcony even! Pool is cold as Iceland lol but hot tub is perfect. Pool room is dated but nonetheless great place friendly staff and gym is nice. Only wish the pool and gym were open all night. Nicest hotel I've been too. And at a $80 a night for what I got. It was mint.

From the welcoming registration set up‎, to the outstanding meal at our Centennial Gala... and from the professional services of their technician handling our cherished videos of Madame Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau and Governor General David Johnston to having the hotel owner personally welcome our esteemed keynote speaker, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, Honourable Lois Mitchell and His Honour... I must say no stone was left unturned as we marked the 100 years of Women's suffrage with delegates, award recipients and guests across Canada. The staff at the Clarion were knowledgeable, experienced, professional and warm!! Their attention to every detail, including welcome notes and fruit plates in the rooms impressed our international and national guests. Our convention chairperson, Dawn Nason conducted planning meetings at the Clarion's Fontanella restaurant regularly and the staff was always ready and available to give the team a tour of the facility and go over the details as issues arose during these meetings. We highly recommend this hotel especially for conferences and conventions. Their airport shuttle was very convenient in transporting our guests, some of whom were elderly and had special needs. Their rooms have balconies and fantastic views of the city. Some rooms are spacious enough to host a board meeting and others are set up to entertain a small group quite comfortably with couches and coffee tables. Our event was very successful and we are grateful to the Clarion staff for their advice and their understanding. Stayed for two nights - I was apprehensive when they put us on the ground floor next to the parking lot, but it was uber quiet. The breakfast staff were wonderful and housekeeping so kind. One of their elevators was out of service so I felt bad for the people on the upper floors LOL! I would stay there again.

Stayed 17 nights. Staff are awesome! On-site services and the food are amazing!!



No hot water after 2pm in my room - I was on the 7th floor. Lukewarm after 10am. Had to shower in the pool area three times. They offered me a different room but the city and mountain views from the room, I couldn't pass up!



Otherwise, great spot, well priced and I'd recommend it to anyone!

Have never had any problems before. Aside from noisy neighbors at 3am (which hotel security dealt with quickly) its been a pleasant stay.

We stayed in the Kings suite for the night after a bad experience there they gave us a free stay to make things batter. This room is very nice. Huge bed with pull out couch if needed. We enjoyed the stay. Looking at their prices online for the value I would stay there again.

I stayed two nights and it was good. On the second day coming back to the room, a pair of shoes were left and they were not ours. So I called front desk to get them, but they had no explanation for them being there. Very weird and creepy.

Failed to make known that the pool and hot tub are under servicing for the entire week I have booked.not impressed

Dark and out dated. Water stains on ceilings. Bathrooms can only accommodate one person if that. Our toilet runs for about 5 mins whenever it’s used. Outside of the hotel has been taken over by some kind of black and white bird that dives at you whenever you out walking your animals.

Cold showers in pool " I won't come again

We booked a room a month ago and we're given no notice that a TV show is being shot in the lobby for two days. At times we were made to wait outside as we couldn't go in to the hotel due to filming. We found this information from an employee of the show not the hotel. Over all a horrible experience for my visiting family.

Staying here right now. First got stuck in the elevator for an hour with no compensation. Kept trying the call for help button and no one would answer. They finally answer to realize WE ARE STUCK. With a baby and a toddler. Didn't ask what room nothing NO COMPENSATION. then later find our bathroom dirty the floor is covered in dirt and mud and hasn't been cleaned and the plug in the tub doesn't work. Will never recommend or stay here again ����

Run far away from this place! To many complaints to list. Staff was very unprofessional and not very helpful at all. I see replies to other reviews about the upgrades and new working elevator, those are not true. This place needs a serious over haul.

Love hotel living. Nothing like having the headboard on the bed falling on you in the middle of the night (1:45am) because the GLUE failed. Called the front desk and they can not do anything and will not even come to check it out and help me out with it and the reply is they cannot help me as they are the only one working alone. Nose bleed and the head board wiped out the outlet. Not happy. Clarion fail. Ok. Lynn's rant is over.

It was a horrible experience from start to finish. Staff weren't knowledgable about how to do a debit deposit. Then room wasn't ready, then after 45 minutes it was "ready" went up and it hadn't been touched! Waited another 30 minutes for our room... (keep in mind we had 2 kids with us - one past her nap time) and once we finally got to our room the disappointment continued. Every time your hotel neighbour turns on the tap or flushes the toilet it sounds like it comes from your room. Anytime someone shuts their main door it vibrates through your room. You have to straddle the toilet to get into the rust and disgusting filled bathroom. I will say the lady when checking out was very nice. But the rest of the staff must have been having the worst day - after all the hassle not an apology or explanation. The pool size was nice, hot tub warm. But the quality of the room the pool was embarrassing!!
