Clive Burger 17Th

The best burgers in Calgary even better than where I live in Florida. I tasted the poutine last year and the cheeseburger with jalapenos and fries yesterday and were outstanding. Is really a great place!

I ordered Clive Burger delivery last night for the first time through Skip the Dishes. First; I have to say that I already love the burgers etc at Clive but I was immediately impressed with how well the food held up in the delivery process. It arrived hot, fresh and tasted exactly how you'd experience it sitting down inside the restaurant. Secondly; there was a small mistake with forgetting one of our beverages but when I called to give that feedback I was greeted by a really friendly staff member, her name was Lauren. Lauren handled the situation well and to my surprise the delivery driver showed up with our missing beverage shortly after our convo. Thanks Lauren! We'll definitely be ordering takeout through Skip the Dishes again!

I live in Brazil and was In Calgary spending some holiday time with friends last December. I found it searching the Internet for the best burger in town.



It did not disappoint me at all. I got two to go and my wife and I, back at the hotel, had a great pleasure eating them.



Will surely stop by next time!

I just moved here from Ottawa, so I figured I'd try out the infamous "Clive Burger". Ordered through Skip the Dishes and picked it up myself. Even once I arrived home and my burger and fries had cooled down, and gotten slightly soggy (because science), they were still amazing! Definitely looking forward to going back for a sit down meal next time to fully appreciate Clive!

Great place. It's wonderful that they have a veggie burger. Any place that make a good veggie burger must make a good mean burger (even though i've never tried one). They have great large portion sizes. Decent prices for the amount of food. Awesome service, but this is not a fast food restaurant. Nor is it a slow restaurant. Is right in between. Great hours! Amazing PR, they really know how to keep you engaged. Overall good aesthetic. They are a great honest company whole cares about the classic american buyer, fresh organic ingredients and and the environment. Good values. Its great to have them as a local Calgary business.

Awesome burger, nice place, the gravy for poutine is a little bit salty imo but the burger is so good I can ignore that

The lady in the cashier was very nice and helped us a lot with our orders. My wife and I thought the burger was good. The alcoholic milkshake was a hit and we liked the casual ambiance of the place..We'll definitely go back!

My first time there. I really enjoyed my burger. And the fries. My only issue was there was so many fries! I didn't eat them all, and it was a small order. And the washrooms weren't marked, I ended up asking another patron in the restaurant where were the washrooms!

The food is outstanding, and i love how everything is made from whole ingredients. I also really enjoy their recycling and compost only set up. Although I always get terrible service when I visit. I've been in six or seven times now and not once have I recieved a good customer experience. The cashier is always snooty and/or on her phone. And nobody ever smiles or seems to want to be there.

Pretty disappointed in my latest visit...have been here several times. Was alright with paying $32 or so for two double burgers, large fries and one bottle pop as that seems to be market price these days.

Was NOT happy waiting 18 minutes only to go check where the hell my food was as it was not busy at all, only to find my ticket sitting there while two cooks chatted. They immediately snapped to and started making it but blamed it on " a bunch of online orders" in front of me...NOPE....there were 2 people waiting that had come in well after me and about 5 burgers on the grill.

NO apology was offered and the girl just kind of dropped our tray off and walked away...being Canadian I still said thank you to her. My 15 year old son noticed it all and said we should have gone to 5 Guys. Duely noted.

Burger was okay, their smoke wasn't great. Got a small bag of fries that were all ends of fries and were overdone. Too expensive for the quality. Woman who took our order was not welcoming and seemed bored and uninterested to be there.

Was a regular. Loved their veggie burger, one of the best in town. They've changed the patty. New one tastes just like meat (red juice comes out). Made me sick to my stomach. If they ever change back I'll be first one in line.

Overpriced hipster garbage. $7 for a burger, $1 just to get cheese. Who doesn't get cheese on a burger?? Ordered a poutine, came with curds still cold, fries no better than McDonald's and disgusting, watery vegetable gravy that tasted like it came out of a package. Never giving this place my money again. Don't waste your time and go to The Rock a little further down 17th near the corner of 14 st. #therockisbetter #cliveburgersucks

I gave it 2 stars on taste but on price I would have given it only 1 star. Pretty bland the burger was $7 cheese was a extra $1, fries were $3. I won't be back anytime I could have gotten a better tasting burger and fries at Wendy's for half the price.

Been eating here for years and always have had good luck! Today not only did they add hot sauce by mistake but my burger was quite pink inside. When brought to the attention of one of the staff members he looked at the burger and defensively stated that is how that's how they always cook their burgers. Funny...We have never had that problem before. It was disgusting.



He did offer to refund and I did decline, however I was pretty disappointed in the food and service and am in no hurry to return.

We live super close to Clive and eat there semi-regularly. We always get the veggie burger. I guess they've changed the veggie patty (we did not get a Beyond Burger patty btw). And they deepfried the patty instead of cooking it on the grill. It was gross. The texture was mushy like mashed potatoes. Two thumbs down.

Wanted a kids meal because I wasn’t going to eat a big burger and got told no. Not sure why you wouldn’t just let me have a smaller meal if I’m still going to pay you?

Not one person smiles not one said thank you they all looked like they hated there job. The chick at the front counter with the long brown hair literally stood there on her phone the entire time! It took us 20 mins to get one burger and the chips were that over cooked they hurt our jaws, it was like they'd been cooked then left out then cooked again, almost stale. The staff were eating food off the customers orders, I sat here for an hour and watched there behaviour the swearing, the lack of care and the dudes out the back throwing dishwashing suds at each other. They seriously don't give a shit, look like a bunch of 16 year olds. First and last time I will ever eat here, one of the worst service/food experiences of my life!

Do not recommend this place, if you order a veggie burger chances are you get a beef burger, the worst of it is not the mistake but the manager's attitude.

Bad service bad experience at this place!!
